So many basic principles of design that are so perfectly executed and balanced here, yet completely lost to contemporary residential architecture. Symmetry, surface textures that suggest wall depth, roof tiles that suggest depth/thickness (ie, protection), wall depth cues around the windows and doors, strong horizontal emphasis that is balanced and contrasted by strong, rugged vertical elements, nice indoor-outdoor transitional space with the patio and awning, strong framing ornamentation around windows and doors. Those Italians, man, they know design.

Beautiful! My favorite so far. The interior is surprisingly warm but still classic.

That home has that 'come in and relax' feel to it. Nothing pretentious, just comfort at every turn. I would have a hard time picking out my bedroom as all are just perfect. Views are spectacular, pool is inviting, gardens so relaxing. Everything about this place wraps a person in comfort and issues hospitality. Great property. As always Nick, you deliver the best. Thank you so much.

I love the interior decor in this one, and notice the power of pops of red. And, the many fireplaces, along with the variety of designs of the bathrooms , the amazing ceilings and floors, make this an inviting place and another simply gorgeous property on this channel. The exteriior and the site are spectacular as well. Although I'm only daydreaming at this point, am thoroughly enjoying your channel .Thank you for your wonderful tours.

I really loved this one, Nick. Beautiful beams, terra cotta tiled ceilings, loved that some of them were whitewashed especially in the kitchen. The layout is very efficient as well as being elegant, ie the auto-lighting on the staircase. The suspended lighting in the main living areas are interesting...quite striking. Overall a very lovely property...I especially enjoyed their fascination with cartographical art work.... I love maps too😊. Thanks for another tour through my favorite dream land💜

Light looks like a halo. very lovely house . You can see the difference in the kitchen with the painted ceiling. It does make a difference

¨Tutto Per Amore¨ says the fire place in the first room, absolutly italian. I enjoy all the propertys that you show, but this is gorgeous, cozy. If you wait a while could see ¨La mamma e la nona¨cooking the pasta in the kitchen. And the rest of the relatives drinking wine with olives.Tthis property look special. The bedrooms are stunning. Wow, absolutely one of my favorite houses that you have shown, I love the antique furnishings and all the big bedrooms & the many bathrooms. Having the extra space to rent out would be great to help with finances; or if one had family that needed to live close to you but only needed to check on Daily. I cared for my Mother for several years and she would have loved this. I think the views are beautiful too and the ceilings that arch upward, I can not remember the word you used, lol are amazing. My wife is in the process of reclaiming her Italian citizenship ( her parent immigrated to canada from Italy in the 50's) and we are looking at eventually getting a property in Italy to relocate to. We enjoy and look forward to your fresh postings each week. Her dad's fami;ly is from the Florence area and her mom's family is from the Calabria area. I love out of the box thinking on lighting solutions, but that UFO floating in front of that Palazzo sized fireplace is such a strange design element. Hopefully the swastika motifs on the staircase were from India, again the lighting on the staircase is poke in the eye instead of subtle. Love the different map prints, reminds me of the Vatican Museum in Rome. Looks like the desk in the first bedroom matches the 20's cupboard that you rhapsodized over. Glass doors in the shower yaaaaaa. Wonderful rugs.
