First , you need to learn how to properly use the band saw safely Bring the upper blade guide to and In inch above what you intend to cut Next make and use a sled to safely hold round stock while making cross cuts so that stock doesn't roll and pull your fingers into the saw Finally , learn to make relief cuts when making multiple curves or tight angles so blade doesn't twist or bind ,stalling the blade or even breaking the blade

Well, if you open your eyes wide you'll see that I'm using a guide to saw a branch. Other than that, of course, you're right. It's funny to read about shaped cuts on a wide enough blade. But you're right
