Mark is honestly the best actor in the series. He can make a straight face and rarely has any bloopers.

But he does one of the more funny blunders: accidentally swearing in front of the kid actor, and trying to peg the blame on someone else.

I think we all wish for someone to speak words like those to us.

I wish TNG writers had given Data a happy ending when it comes to his romantic life. In a way Seth & Co improved upon Data-arc by giving Isaac a happy ending he deserves with Dr Finn 🖖

The moment after this when the changes reverted was an absolute gut punch.

Brilliant acting...

Isaac-Claire relationship reminds me of Data-Jenna relationship from TNG. But instead of ending in a heartbreak, "The Orville" writers gave them a happy ending like Odo-Kira relationship from DS9 🖖

@@sayres99 He returned to the Changeling collective/Great Link, but he promises Kira he may return at some point. Unfortunately, Rene Auberjonois, the actor who played Odo, has now passed away.

The point is that Isaac actually loves her, but he's incapable of recognizing that because his species doesn't really understand love, thus he keep saying stuff like "i cannot feel love". But his actions speaks for themselves: if he really didn't feel any feeling he wouldn't have changed. Also he made a lot of non-logical decisions, almost all around the idea of either helping claire or making her happy

@@profchaos91 Isaac is physically incapable of feeling emotions but he's a sentient being with a mind and a personality. He is capable of forming bonds and building attachments but he can't physically get emotional responses. Emotions are an interesting concept, when we speak of emotions how often are we speaking of physical feelings and how often are we speaking of a state of mind? Take fear for example. Isaac can't feel a drop in the area where his stomach would be. The equivalent of his heart won't accelerate in response to fear. However he is concerned with his own self-preservation and will act accordingly in threatening situations. Isaac can't love Claire the way she loves him but he has formed a bond with and concern for her, and is loyal to her. He doesn't get butterflies in his stomach or an adrenaline rush from being around Claire but he loves her with his actions. He chooses to love her.
