I'm DONE !! with this LOCATION!

it's just time stop depending on this small woodland and start moving around the country to bigger and better places.
I can't promise a new camping video every week but I will try my best to upload something for you.

Watching you setup camp, cook, talk randomness, is why we are all subscribed! It doesn't matter where you are, once the darkness arrives it makes no difference, you could be in your back garden for all I care. Just keep being you! Much love and respect

Good idea to get out and about a bit further afield - more remote areas are a good idea - it keeps the nuisances and idiots away - there's nothing worse than having to break camp because idiots are short on things to occupy themselves with- look forward to seeing your travels in the near future .

SOMEONE has The Spring Fever!😉 I watched all your videos for the last year: you did some pretty extreme hikes and showed us a variety of places. I DO like the idea of two-day adventures. I also LIKE the idea of some car camps: you deserve a comfortable chair and a camp table!😇 Come to that, a good cot to rest your back wouldn't be out of place.

I love watching all your camping vlogs, so keep doing what you love. You’re little bit of woodland is special to you and us, so keep enjoying it, the enjoyment of camping is what I love about your channel. That said, I do like the idea of canal camping, that’s really unique and I’d love to see what that looks like, so yes please to some of those type of vlogs!! But above all else, keep camping, you get to do things I’ll probably never get to do (although you motivate me to try things I wouldn’t do without seeing your vlogs) and I enjoy seeing what you get up to!! Keep it up and looking forward to a year of new vlogs!!!

If you feel the need to move up a gear, a mix of wild , or unknown remote small dark sites would be interesting. I try to use the dark or undeveloped sites as much as possible, but sometimes it's difficult to find a gem of a decent farmers field with basic facilities. In the end don't do stuff just for your channel, chasing numbers, do it for you 😊

Hi Dan, I used to camp a bit some 15 years ago. Not been since, because quite honestly if i put a camping mat down and lay on it I wouldn't be able to get up off the ground, so this is why i watch you so I don't have too. Doesn't matter where you camp, its still entertaining watching you. But yes I'm looking forward to more places with you. Glad your enjoying what you do, that's the main thing, so keep doing and be happy.

Well said, I agree with the lightweight equipment, even if you don't intend on hiking it means you always have the option, I lost the time to go camping between work and having my kid I just don't have room for it in my life at the moment, not to say that when I do get the time I won't jump on the opportunity. When the time comes I wish to go on expeditions, I've felt in the past if I go to the same patch of woodland over and over it becomes less of an adventure and you lose the dynamic that allows for new experiences and excitement of the unknown. Glad you've got the time to go do this now pal and looking forward to see where you end up.

Hey Dan, we watch your channel because we like the person YOU are 😊 If you do come to Scotland, I could suggest the Scottish Borders as an easy area to start rather than going on an epic 100s of miles to the Highlands journey. e.g. I'm in a village on the A68 - a straightforward journey from Newcastle - Scotch Corner - Edinburgh. There's lots of good camping spots in my general area. Not telling you what to do, it's just a suggestion and I will look forward to watching regardless of where you decide to go 😊

Changing location definitely helps mate! Every location have it's own energy. You just have to feel it inside if you feel even just slight discomfort the place is probably not for you. The more far away it's from the city the calmer and better energy there is. Try the same. You are not a tree to stay in one place. You can also try trail biking it helps a lot to explore woods and you don't feel stuck in one place.

Hey Dan, Great idea to make the videos more about "hiking and camping". I am 60yo and still enjoy taking a three day weekend and covering 30-35 miles in a round trip. I drive/bus/train (early) to a location I have planned, then walk 11-13 miles at a leisurely pace. Find a camp (planned through google maps, maybe), get up early and do another 11-13 miles and camp again. Then walk back to my car/bus stop/ train station the last day. The whole experience is amazing. I often meet people on the trail who cannot believe what I am doing, but the trip is easy going and I carry just enough food for three days (you can always find water, even if you have to ask at a house, most people are very helpful when you explain what you are doing). It will be interesting to see what you carry on extended trips. I video some of the best things I see, but I don't compile them into a "video" and I take loads of pictures for my own memories. Good luck. I am sure you will enjoy it. First video suggestion: Preparing the walk and preparing your backpack. Have fun.

Mate, the best sitcoms are those that make the viewer think they know the characters; Only Fools & Horses (for me) would be an example of that - I know the script inside-out but love watching them because it kinda feels similar to hanging out with mates; I think you’ve achieved the same thing with this channel. I honestly couldn’t give a toss where you are or what you’re doing - I just tune in to listen to your ramblings and appreciate your character. I reckon a load of your viewers probably feel the same. Best wishes. Sam.

Like so many have commented already, Dan - please, keep on being you! Your unceremonious approach to everything is what makes people stick around. You have a knack for making everyone feel like they can «be that person», which makes you a great role model. There are so many youtubers out there who try to come across as experts, even if they obviously aren’t. We sincerely enjoy your «let’s see how this works» attitude ❤️
