I usually play league with friends, I can't stand playing alone, and I came to the realization that league is probably the worst game I've ever played, and I've been playing games for 15 years and I've been interested in them since. Out of all the games I've played and I've seen, league if by far the worst, it's not fun, it's a bad game, the game is not fun it's meant to be tedious, slow and make you rage and suffer. Early game sucks cause it's a constant tension because you can't miss cs, you can't die first because that fucks the landing phase, but you gotta kill them cause if you don't you will lose. Every early game is slow as hell and you're restricted by the decisions of your team and their skill, the games usually don't depend on how good you are. Then you gotta keep csing for 20 minutes and securing objectives because if you don't, you're fucked. The fun part doesn't come from the game itself or from you doing something great, but from humiliation of the enemy team, and that's toxic. When you have fun in a game it was because you outplayed the enemy and showed them that they suck and you're better. When you're behind its a nightmare. The games take too long, so you're there for 20 minutes suffering because you can't do shit but the enemy can't end either. There's no counterplay to many things and every game feels like a ranked match. I just compare to smite, a moba that I've been playing non stop since 2014,which has never angered me, which gives me hours of fun playing alone because the matches are fast, you don't have to last hit, you have many game modes, there is counterplay and you can win a conquest match (equivalent to the regular mode for league) without doing any objective, just by playing well by yourself. League is bad, is just such a bad and shitty game that I wouldn't understand how it still has such a player base if it wasn't because of how old it is and how famous it got

@@alyssalomboy5299 there are so few content creators left. The big ones off the top of my head that still use KZread for their work are Dumbs, Magikarpusedfly, Kshaway, and RossBoomsocks. Of those, MUF and Kshaway mostly use content gathered from their fans to show funny fails and outplays. Ross straight up calls his off-meta builds that he does troll builds that shouldn't be done in a normal match and calls his games the For Fun (FF) movement. The game itself is choking out all creativity and leaving us with nothing but people who play well. If it weren't for TFT, the game would be going further into decline.

I used to love watching Dunkey because he, in my opinion, is an extremely toxic person and watching him play League of legends to troll bashful, toxic, players is like watching fire fighting with fire. It's a lot of fun and if you want me to be completely honest, his newer videos don't have that magic like his League videos have. There's a reason why no one, not even dunkey fans, take him seriously as a critic. He's more of an entertaining comic who plays games and is really good at talking trash.

I quit 2 months ago. Just yesterday i installed league again. Played 4 games, saw that the game is still in this miserable state where both company and community are 100% (well community just mostly) retarded and deinstalled it right after. After that, I straight came back to this video. I only sometimes come back to TFT, but Riot isnt doing too well on balancing that one either so yeah. You can make it!

I love this video still. Had friends that got addicted to Dota 2 and it felt like I lost them at the time, they played it for 10+ hours a day every day and ignored other things in life and did nothing else, all while having a terrible time with the game. This type of game is an infinite timesink designed to waste your life, its fucking soul crushing and so abnormal how many players have tens of thousands of hours in. Being a dunkey fan since 2012 and seeing his career take off after this is so cathartic to me. If you're a MOBA addict reading this it's not too late to stop. Time is the most valuable resource you have and you never get it back. Please don't waste your life away on a game you don't even like. Find things that give you happiness instead of just pissing you off.

Well you are assuming people dislike it cause you dislike the game. Pretty much the same time sink as every other thing on the PC or mobile phone. I would highly argue that your time on KZread is not much better spent time. I've lived through the early years of WoW and I thought that was the most soul sucking game I've ever seen. It doesn't compare to what League and Dota does to you. I've never heard of anyone who quit these games just doing it in normal fashion like "I got bored" or "I found other games fun", the story of quitting these games from people always sounds like some heroin addict finally healing from their addiction and having a normal life again. It's not to say you can't have fun with casual play but these games (and many others these days) highly incentivize the whole community of having that degenerate ranked oriented culture. This isn't what the game was like in its early years far back.

this is me with csgo tbh. i moved on to tf2 because all though it's still made by shitty valve, it has a good community so the game is pretty fun to play. toxicity isn't just trash talking, it also involves throwing, cheating, etc. this is why i hate csgo. i used to complain about rng and luck, but it adds an element to the game. what i hate is: feels like the same outcome every game, i either carry the shit out of my team and we lose because they're bad, or i bottom frag and we lose because my team mates get me killed. then you think you find someone who's good at the game because they have good individual skill and high hours, but they dont know how to work as a team or they're a complete cunt so you lose anyways. but if you dont get a noob or an asshole, then you get someone who throws (makes you lose the game) or a hacker who carries you. lol so the solution is to 5 man queue with friends, right? nope everytime i play with friends they rage and dont work as a damn team. despite me being the lowest in hours out of them (meaning im not as good with my aim as them and diff things), i do the best as a team mate because i give calls and actually come up with strategies. we can't even figure out our roles or figure out our plans because since we're on the younger side of the community, we have school, diff time zones, etc. so we have no time to practice being a team so it all fails. another thing is 64 tick isn't as bad as people say it is, but its not that good and it gets annoying at points. that mixed with the amount of toxicity on your team or the other team makes it annoying. solution: go to esea or faceit, where there arent cunts and 128 tick is a thing, right? i think its bullshit that i need to pay to play the game the way it should be played since valve has shit anti-cheat and only bans you for throwing/hacking and not just being a douchebag. nobody is gonna read this or understand this, but seriously. if you ever consider playing csgo, dont. its a waste of time and money. a decently built game with a few small bugs and a large group of edgy cunts who ruin the game.

HeaVeN 2K20 i quit smite after like 3500h because the devs are massive cunts, same problems as this video, i was diamond at the time but got placed with people who had just 20 hours, matchmaking sucks balls, competitive is impossible, the game is fun outside of that but after a while you see the devs favoritism and cashgrabs ruin many things

I feel that your performance in League of Legends has absolutely nothing to do with winning or losing in the game. It's like whenever I win lane my team loses, and whenever I lose lane my team wins.

Old league wasn't like that. Your individual performance mattered alot back then. Due to items/quints/cups etc. You had a huge impact and could carry games. Now it is much more team reliant which is a bad thing when you're playing with apes

@@owainraysor5108 It’s always been like that, that’s what MMR does. It matches you with players of similar skill level so that the chances are as close to 50/50 as possible. If you improve at the game you’ll have a slightly higher win rate and climb a bit til you hit a new plateau as you end up where your new skill level is (and vice versa if you get worse at the game)

Today I think I have played my final League of Legends game. I am uninstalling the client hopefully for good. This game was initially incredible for me, but overtime became increasingly more like a chore to play. It really has lost its soul and it's sad to see because I remember being so excited to boot up the game after classes, the game really was magical. The real toxic players are not the Malphite as seen in this video. They are the devs.

League is such a fundamentally unfun game. The more someone gets kills, random or not, the more that inhibits your ability to play the game. The whole objective of the game is to literally not play it. It isn’t fun for the bully or the bullied. It’s just the biggest waste of time to ever be commercialized.

Remember when people thought this was a controversial video? Or that viewers were threatening to unsubscribe and even said Dunkey was finished? He was a niche channel at best then, even within the gaming category. Now he's one of the top non-viral youtubers, regardless of category, and even quite influential to gaming in general. Players, streamers, and even developers reference his quotes and content. Every new video he makes is so widely viewed it makes it into "greatest hits". Over half of Knack mentions on the whole internet are Dunk jokes. If he had not quit, he might still be a niche channel only LoL players watched.

I had my account stolen and when I talked to a riot employee they recovered it for me but I was chat banned for what the guy said in chat. I asked if they could remove the chat ban since even in the match he bragged about taking my account and they said “nope your toxic”

I only play in normals games and i am fine . The only thing in league who is fucked is ...the ranking. It's LITERALLY mean NOTHING. ... Ho yea : you hade a good luck to find 4 mate who are fine at this moment for play seriously...several times for win the promotion . The promotion....what a stupid thing .... Why they dont rank by the average of what you do . Nothing impossible to put a Action tracer in the game ...the numer of save did. If the only people you have to communicate with are toxic, tryhards, or straight up belligerent then it's literally like playing with a collection of people that you can't even believe exist. I know some of us have been there. In a match with randoms, thinking to ourselves....how are these people alive? How did someone with such lack of common sense, rationality, intelligence, and communication skills manage to get to an age where they could play a video game? Wtf Darwin? Do something! The game is more enjoyable for its derp moments than for the actual gameplay. And if ever taken seriously, you will hate your friends, and you will not talk to them for at least 3 days. I also do agree that riot should pay WAY more attention to reports concerning feeding or being outright bad than to flaming. Being a bad player should be at the top of the list. I rather have a bad player/feeder get banned or a warning than someone who's just flaming but still doing good. Because you can MUTE that someone but you can't do anything about a feeder or a troll.

+Rigo R.M The definition of toxicity is completely meaningless. Here is the "above average level of toxicity" riot said I displayed and after going back and forth I finally got the logs. This is an absolute joke...I just uninstalled after around 4 years of play. I got a 75 game chat restriction and after going back and forth with Riot claiming they couldn't give me the logs they gave me the logs. Which means they're full of shit as usual. I think the issues all stem from players not being able to express their frustrations with their teammates. Riot has been trying to manipulate and control their players to the extent that toxic has become absolutely meaningless. I decided playing Heroes of the Storm might be a better idea. As much as I love the game LoL, I absolutely cannot stand Riot as a company. +Rigo R.M I don't think you should ban ''bad'' players. I mean with that logic anyone who isn't chalenger isn't a ''good'' player and is therefor ''bad''. This would mean EVERYONE would be banned. The ''unskilled'' report option is just there so riot had a way to see if the report system worked correctly. There are no consequences to being reported for being bad. Which would be completly retarded since EVERY SINGLE PLAYER was ''bad'' at some point. Even Faker HAD TO be bad at this game before getting better.

gwanael34 Bad was too broad a term. I apologize for that. I wasn't talking so much about unskilled players more so intentionally bad, not willing to help their team, not willing to work together, type players. Players who are doing bad but could be doing better had they just listened to their team. This is when the "refused to communicate with team" report would become extremely useful. It's a team game but yet when playing alone you will be matched with random and teamwork should be stressed and held highly above anything else. I don't care if someone is talking shit as long as they are a part of team fights and taking objectives and being an active part of the team. I play in a group of 3 people. Which means we get 2 randoms. 1 of those randoms has a 90% chance of being the guy that doesn't listen. Who continues to do badly only because he makes bad decisions that could have been avoided had he/she taken the teams advice. Hopefully that makes more sense

Rigo R.M It does, but even then this could be a factor coming from poor strategical skills. Some people are better in mechanics others are great at wide map strategy. I see this a lot in Gold and I'm one of those cases. I'm pretty good at mechanics but i make stupid decisions a lot. Going to farm the jungle instead of roaming to a teamfight, running away when I should be fighting etc. Most of the times it WILL be the same thing as a mechnicaly bad player. I agree sometimes tho, it is entirely the players fault and should be reported. But only in extreme cases where it's completly obvious the guy didn't CARE at all and wasn't just making a bad decision.

Purposeful feeding should be a bannable offense. It is a problem in all mobas. Whether it be Heroes or League, whatever team has the feeder is going to get pissed and be forced to trudge through a 30 minute fight that they know they cannot win.

***** I never cared for League but I know that in Heroes if you report them Blizz will just defend and and assume they were just bad but no level of bad makes you go 0-15. That is just blatant feeding, which is made even worse in the case of Heroes because a 2 level advantage is basically gg. Especially prior to level 10.

***** It tends to be a matter of policy from what I've seen. They are afraid of banning someone and having that person say that they were just playing badly. Blizzard did the exact same thing with ninja looters. They protected them by forcing you to have a screenshot of the loot rules, the entire party, the roll in question, time stamps and all this shit when realistically all they fucking needed was a pic of an addon saying you'd won with whatever roll and a look into your inventory revealing that item not being there. They are so afraid of banning a paying customer even if that person is being a complete cockhead.

2023 and this is still true AF.

Anyone who has played ANY competitive online game knows that when someone intentionally trolls/griefs a game simply to hurt others around them, you can't just win because you, "do the right thing." I used to be an admin on a mildly popular game and we punished these people who grief and troll and RUIN THE EXPERIENCE FOR OTHERS, not the one person angry that they had to deal with it the whole time. Riot clearly wasn't objective about this situation, and the fact that that asshole snubbed Dunkey despite his undying support for the game... That's pathetic.
