I'm donating 2 feet of my hair

I finally donated my hair and went for a BIG chop! Good thing I measured, otherwise I am not sure I would have believed it haha. The final donation ended up being over 2 feet (63 cm), although the final length of the chop was longer. I can't believe that part of my hair is only a few cm long now 😶
This was so much fun but not likely something I will be doing again (or not this length at least haha). And I will be needing all of your advice on styling short hair please 😄
I hope you enjoy this vlog even though I was pretty nervous all day and filming was more of a second priority.

Not only did you do a great thing by donating your hair, your also showing solidarity with the womens rights movement as the main reason why it’s considered feminine to have long hair is because thousands of years ago men would choose who to reproduce with by choosing the healthiest mate and in most cases a woman with long hair would be considered a sign of health and fertility

It's not tragic at all. In fact it's very kind of her. She is donating her hair. And her hair will be made into beautiful wigs for people who has lost their hair due to illness. She's a good person.

Real hair typically is more desired in wigs and unfortunately it can often be sourced in rather exploitative ways. It is also very expensive, so donating hair makes the cost of the wigs for those who need them a little better. When I went to the place for donation, the woman working there said she had several on a waiting list for that length of hair and I am so incredibly happy to be able to give someone that 🥰 I would absolutely do it again, but growing it to that length is a lot of work, so if I do, it will definitely not be anytime soon. But it is something I would recommend everyone to do if they are at a place where they want a bit more of a dramatic chop. It's of course completely voluntary, but I don't regret it for a second, I can always grow it back if I want to! 😊
