I love my Barudan Pro 3. I have had it for almost two years and I couldn’t be happier with it. I use the mighty hoops exclusively with it. I have done small size jobs and even horse blankets with no issues. The Barudan support is wonderful as well. It was delivered on an enclosed truck with lift as it is very heavy. A Barudan tech comes out to install it and he was great.

Hi Romero, I been running the SWD ricoma for the 3 years. This Year I invested in a Barudan Machine not because other people told me to but because it is the standard in many embroidery shop in the east cost at least. I worked for embroidered shop that had a 4head barudan and since that that day I fall in love with the quality in precision. The tech on this machines are incredible. I will be making comparison videos about it on my youtube channel

I have been researching for months for a 15 needle machine but all the top brands are monetarily out of range. Until I came across the BAI machines. They are made in China for which some people would not touch them, but you know what? I have a Brother and never had any follow up or care from where I bought it. The BAI has a fantastic Facebook group help and many people there have had Tajimas and have now got BAIs instead. Like any machine, you have to get used to it but it costs less than 1/2 the price to all the other brands. The one I have bought has an embroidery field of 40 x 60 cm and cost just over $5000 door to door. Not bad!!

I just bought a Happy Japan HCD3E-X last month. I Love the extended border frame 15" x 47". I did lots of research on all the major companies and ended up going with Happy because I thought it was the best bang for my buck, plus their office is a few hours drive from my house. Since it's my first multi-needle I wanted peace of mind knowing a tech was nearby should I need any maintenance. But so far its been running great and has been so easy to use. Good luck!

I bought a used Melco XT 16 needle- added tech support for a couple of years. Good customer service. Traveling techs if needed. Definitely commercial grade, can run all day with the right maintenance. My suggestion if your interested in a Melco, trade show prices are the best to buy the unit then and there so they don't have to take it back to Colorado.

I highly recommend the MELCO EMT16X, it's modular and easy to maintain. I run a fully dedicated desktop computer for it and the Acti-feed is great. I love my machine. I didn't have room to fit a ZSK machine, that was my first choice.

I’m happy with my two Barudan pro 3’s. I just got my Bluetooth system set up so I no longer need to use a thumb drive to transfer files, this should speed up my workflow. If you got the new Tajima with the auto tension system on it, that would be amazing.

I’ve been running 4 Melco EMT16X’s for about 9 months. I love them, easy to use, great quality, and fast. The “Acti feed” tension system is good. My only complaint about the machines is that the control panel on the machine doesn’t let you control the tension. It has to be done on the computer. Which is fine if you have the computer next to the machine but with 4 of them it isn’t always right there.

I started with the Tajima SAI and ungraded this summer to the Tajima TMEZ. I love it. It is user friendly and you don't have to adjust your tensions (which you didn't have to on the SAI either). What sold me over the latest SWF was the positioning alignment feature. The SWF's monitor is brighter and looks better but I thought the alignment system was well worth the money. They both have a cap driver that's quick to put on. I have done foam hats and used Maderia's Super Twisted Threads on Sweat Shirts with the TMEZ. Hats, including foam stitch well at 800 rpm. Super Twist does great on 650 rpm with 90/14 needle. I like Bauradan too but didn't think it would fit through my doors. You can't go wrong with the top four--add ZSK in the mix. P.S. Bought mostly Maggie Frames. Disadvantage with them is they take about 2 weeks to come. Prefer Mighty Hoops 13 x 16 frame. I have both.

Happy HCU2 1501. Hands down no competition. ZSK Sprint 8 runner up only because they don’t have enough techs in the USA for ZSK. The Happy Japan has the highest sewing field I’ve ever seen for hats. You’ll be able to stitch big logos on hats like New Era does when they stitch them flat. Digital presser feet adjustment on the fly and auto tensioning system more superior than Tajima’s TMEZ that just came out. Happy is 100% Japanese unlike Tajima that now uses certain parts made in China.

I've been researching machines online and at trade shows. At the shows, I was able to view the Brother, Melco, Ricoma, Tajima, Barudan, SWF and Happy machines. Each company's representatives were extremely friendly, informative and very open to questions. I wanted to buy at least 1 of each because watching them sew you are mesmerized by the designs they stitched. However, the one that appears to fit my needs is a Tajima. I already have a Brother Enterprise which over 10 years has been a trustworthy work horse. I found it to be a great beginner machine. Now, I am looking for a larger sewing area, quicker speed and automatic thread tension. Price is an issue since these machines are expensive. The last trade show on the east coast was canceled so I ended up buying another piece of printing equipment instead. Now I am adding up my $$$ again to purchase a Tajima but waiting and watching to see what you purchase and your decision behind it. I hope you talk about support for the machine since it is a major factor in my decision. Support not only includes the manufacturer but also online programs that assist in the learning process.

Melco EMT 16x was hard for me to use. I was a beginner when I purchase this commercial machine. I was overwhelmed with learning how to embroider as well as learning all the daily, weekly, monthly maintenance. Please watch a video first on the maintenance. Its insane. You have to literally take the machine apart, unbolting screws on both sides and the front. It was a nightmare. Melco lied to me and told me that someone who never embroidered could do well on this machine. Not true. I was able to return it for a full refund minus 1/2 the shipping cost which was about $700 of my money they kept. I purchased a Brother's machine, and I am so much happier. Good luck on your choice

Did you pay for the on-site training? There is a learning curve as this is obviously a commercial grade machine, and a beginner should not expect it to be comparable to a domestic. I was only embroidering for 1 yr on Bernina single needles when I made the jump. Yes all the maintenance is self done, but there is no reason to need a tech as there are extensive step by step videos to show you everything. I did a ton of research, watched hours upon hours of training videos, participated in the weekly live sessions, BEFORE taking the plunge. I love my “Beast” and wish I had the room for a few more,💪🏻🎯💖

@@nancygreer2263 Melco should not mislead people when an honest inquiry is made, and I should have done more homework and research. I didnt, and I paid for it in time and money. And it was a nightmare. 6 months of embroidering on my Luminaire Xp2, I have no issues in advancing to a multi needle commercial machine. I plan to purchase the brothers 10 needle prw1055 for a good price. I do not want another commercial machine where screws and plates need to be removed. If it needs more than oiling every 4 hours, then i will likely just purchase two more luminaires. The luminaire XP3 brand new, is selling for $12,999 with $500 gift card for the stores fabric. I do not recommend Melco EMTx 16 needle machine without first watching video on the maintenance. The two in home sessions with Mike was a nightmare. He's not a teacher. I dont require in life that people yell and raise their voice. He does that, in your home. It was uncomfortable and I will never seek Melco for anything. I really dislike this company, every part of it

Hello. I have tested different machines, Ricoma/Tajima/Barudan/Fortron(Germany). And I bought a Germany machine which is Fortron. This was a mistake, because there is no information of this embroidery machine on the internet, there is nothing, and only 1 engineer who's name is Jorge Aparicio in Spain which is a mess, disgusting human being. So after then the solution was the next one to buy is Tajima, the one which has superb support, a lot of info on internet and UI is very easy. So the next one we gonna buy is Tajima. Easy pick.
