Good to see you back James. And that last image... absolutely beautiful.
So pleased to see you back. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Wonderful images from your sabbatical and this one is stunning. You are right not to force it. Mojos come back when they are ready. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Welcome back.
Welcome back James. 4 days ago I checked your channel to have a look but nothing released. And then this arrived. 😁 excellent I thought. And it was just that, excellent. Not rusty at all mate. Like you hadn't taken a break in fact. Really enjoyed that sunlight washed photo. When you described the intention I thought blimey that's gonna be tricky. Then the image came up and pffff yup that's certainly washed in sunlight. Great to see you uploading again and as always can't wait for the next. Hope things chill out for you.
You ended up with a very nice image.
Works for me James.
It's good to see you. Lovely shots over the summer. Take your time getting back into KZread, we're patient folk.
Welcome back. Lovely photo and great explanation as always. Loved the earlier ones especially the shots with the Milky Way.

Hi Thanos - good to be back. Thanks
Well done James and yes i agree you should never force yourself to take the pictures and do the videos if you you are not feeling it. I too have been asked of i have taken any nice shots this summer and truth is i havent felt it. Well done
Really nice video.
I think you are pretty hard on yourself you got some great shots in summer. Good to see you back.
Glad you are back and it wasn’t due to catching COVID … those Milky Way Compositions were jaw dropping.
Beautiful shot, great location.
Nice to see you back James, we all lose our mojo from time to time. Some great images at the start of this Vlog though, if that’s you having a downer during Summer don’t beat yourself up 😉 pity you couldn’t find the inspiration to share how you got them with us but the results were superb. Autumn is upon us and hope the mojo is revitalised in us all. Having my first planned trip out next weekend to the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas and hoping I have the timing just right 🤞🍂 if not it will be a day of remembrance and thanks to those that have served us all and the camera may not even come out of the bag
James, great to see you back again. Saw a Dr. Brew on Photography Online but not sure when that video was done. Anyway, beautiful images as always and great to see you happy and content and putting out videos when you feel like it. Nothing like watching a forced video to feed the KZread gods so appreciate you doing things in your own time.

Thanks very much Gerry - I've not done anything on PO for a while now. I think the last stuff I did there was maybe March time. Hopefully I'll have some more contributions soon
Nice one James glad you haven't thrown in the towel. Leave that to me 😱
Like your honesty here. Good thoughts. I’ve worked on the IOM in the past for just over a year ~ it does have stunning landscape
I was very pleasantly surprised to see your video pop-up! Your photographs are exquisite and your island is on my travel bucket list because of your videos. I was glad to hear you actually wanted to create this. Although you are the most informative and best photographer in my KZread list (and so, I would love to see weekly content), quality beats quantity for both the viewer and the creator. Your “break” photos are amazing as usual and the last photo was a stunner that I just couldn’t see before you explained your vision of how it would look when the light would come in. Stay in good health!

This is awesome I want to do that kind of photoshoot on my channel...
👍 🥂
👍 I took 5 years off pretty much from my Photo Universe channel... when I came back I just started a new channel, LOL. Your videos helped me to give Nikon another shot. It's early days, and I'm still getting used to the UI, but the IQ is spectacular! I wish the crop modes only cropped the Jpegs and not the raws and I wish the electronic level was assignable to a button, but other than that so far so good! Oh, and I could really use a 70-200 f4 Z lens. The FTZ adapter is a faff. 🙂 Great videos! Thanks!
Hi James, luck didn't make that shot, your experience, commitment and talent did. You are really good at what you do, and I love watching your videos to listen to your thought processes as you are taking (or I think more in your case 'making') images. Thanks.
Greetings from California. Really enjoyed your video. I’ve mostly been shooting video for the last two years of my music lessons for bass guitar but you’re making me want to start doing more stills! Fantastic photos. I’ve always preferred Nikon for stills and canon for video, and I don’t even own a Nikon at the moment.. but you’re making me want to try the Nikon mirrorless system, as I have the EOS R and I really don’t like it - but my main problem is that Nikon has yet to make a fully articulated flip screen ! Why not? If I am going to do videos where I need to see myself talking I just don’t get why they haven’t made one yet, as so many people will find it useful. STILL, I may go down to my local store today and fiddle with the Z mirrorless system. You’ve convinced me ! Subbed to your channel.
Welcome back, you were indeed missed. Glad you're in good health and ready to go..
Great images, and even greater to have you back James. Thanks, and greetings from the States.
Great to see you back, James, and what a stunning photo to start back again with.
Fantastic picture James great to see you back 👍🏻 I find your work is very inspiring and has helped me improve my photos I particularly like the way you take time to explain and go through the process of your pictures. Thank you
Great photographs. Good video and even better to see you back. Kudos on having the patience to wait for the nice light.
Really glad your back James with a refreshed honest outlook, as always. Hope your enthusiasm is renewed. And I agree a well deserved pat on the back for some stunning pictures,,, quality, not quantity my friend, take care Trevor

Welcome back. No luck there- just good planning and a cooperative sky. Thanks and love the result as well as your opening shots. Inspiring.
I do not understand "thumbs down", especially in a photography video. Why would people watch something they dont like? We missed you James. God bless!
Great to have you back James. Fantastic images as always.
As if you never where absent James. Good video as ever. I liked the last image, but also the pictures you have taken in your absence. Thnx.
Good video to come back with James and a cracking photo that was worth the wait. Keep shooting and sharing mate
Great to see you back James ... You've been missed mate .
Welcome back I was watching a video the other day on the I o Man and I suddenly thought of you and that you hadn't been around for some time, and the you pop up on my subscription list and here you are, standard of video still top class and culminating in a superb image, with lovely composition, don't go away again, regards, Colin.
Hi James, what a fantastic series of images from the summer. As a keen amateur myself I have to say that YT vids have to be Quality over quantity, well done for not falling into the trap of creating content for the sake of it. I have lost count of the photographers I used to follow but no longer do because their videos have become stagnant and uninteresting based on the fact that they feel they must constantly engage with their audience. It just becomes "five things I wish I’d known" rather than fresh inspirational content, frankly I switch off after a matter of seconds. Keep doing what you do and if it’s a video every two months we’ll all I can say is they are worth waiting for. Andy.

Thank you very much Andy. I really appreciate the encouraging words. My videos are likely to be sporadic going forwards but as you asy I'd much rather upload stuff that I actually think has merit rather than just churn out rubbish for the sake of playing the YT game. I do have another video which I'm working on at the moment, probably going out this weekend 👍
Welcome back James! Missed ya. I could relate, had the worst summer (hot, smoke, dry, dry, dry) I can remember and it did not inspire my photography. I'm with you and happy to see the change of season. Beautiful images as always!
Welcome back! Always enjoy the vids. Fall and winter definitely more interesting to me than lush summers. You look very thin.
Glad to see you back James. Alive and kicking again :)
Great to see you back on UT. Enjoyed Tholt-y-Will took me back a bit did that! Worth the wait and faith with the Met Office, priducing a lovely result. A lesson for many. Looking forward to your next.
Glad you’re back James ! I was starting to get worried !! Lol. As usual, you produced another great shot. I’m glad all is well with you and I hope we don’t have to wait another 5 months for another video. Take care !!

@@JamesBrewphoto , By the way, my wife and I are planning a trip to Ireland next year. I might ask your advise as to where might be good places for pics. I’m definitely going to The Giants Causeway, but other than that, I have no idea..

Welcome back mate. I don't think you were lucky at all! You planned it thoroughly, and executed the shot to perfection. Missed your KZread presence. You are a fine ambassador for the art of photography.
You haven’t lost your touch, James! 👍 Glad to see your return; we all benefit from a respite. Appreciate your candor. Too few YT channels have your helpful content, affable host, and credibility (for a cat lover😁). Sterling seascape images. Point well made about turf familiarity (no pun intended). Main image walk-thu and overlay notes, a plus. Layers of interest in composition add much. Music calming. (Regards to Mysty and Monty😁). Cheers!

James, that is an absolutely stunning shot. If I'd taken that I'd be happy to call it 'Shot of the Year'. You didn't get lucky, you checked the weather report and the sun direction, went out, lined up your composition, crossed your fingers and waited. Welcome back and thanks for not doing 'fillers' when you weren't in the mood to go out. Although you did get some excellent shots in the summer, I liked the cotton grass in particular. I use two weather reports. I look out the front window (east) and the back window (west) and if the two correlate its likely to stay that way ...... for and hour. If they don't, its changeable 😊

Really nice video James. Love the image of the landscape with the structure of the old stone walls. Fantastic! I had a short break from KZread also and only came back with something new the other day. I just went back to enjoy myself with my camera without the pressure of KZread. It certainly did me good so I can relate to you there. Thanks for a great video.
Welcome back, I've had the loss of photographic mojo this year and have little to show for the few efforts I tried. A lovely image from your trip, and the summer images were lovely too. Let's hope Autumn delivers and gets us all enthused again.
Glad you're back, I've missed you 😊 Gorgeous work at the beginning and an absolutely beautiful image created by you in this video. Thank you.

You're starting to get the spirit of the place rather than its superficial skin. We can see it in the video production and we can hear it in your voice. You say your photography has benefited? The term `quantum leap' in benefit comes to mind. 2021 might be shite but sometimes its transformative power............only in retrospect of course.
Welcome back James! Lovely last photo and I don’t agree …. You weren’t “lucky” - you’d checked the forecast, had the imagination and skill to know the scene had potential for a great image and used bracketing to be sure you had the flexibility in post. Okay … the sun did come our rather nicely, but you had the patience to give it every chance! Well done
Gotta disagree with the conclusion here. That was planning, not luck.
