I hope that you will be able to come to a point of belief and trust. Some things that help are to consider the fine tuning of the Universe and also the design in the genetic code. But amongst the most helpful are reading the Gospels with an enquiring mind. All the best from South Yorkshire.

I hope you're OK Dan, you seem drained in this video. I remember the pressure to quiet down was intense in the CofE I hope you haven't experienced that from the hierarchy they can be brutal. It's interesting you mentioned a disparity between your online presence and in person ministry, people consistently say about me that I'm the same in both contexts so my advice is fear God and not men and simply say what needs to be said.

I think the brutality of the hierarchy and liberal establishment needs to be borne in mind when accusations that Rev Dan, Anglican Unscripted or your own output are too 'judgemental'. I remember hearing Gavin Ashenden relating experiences gleaned at Synod, and the way evangelicals were treated by the liberals or woke was appalling. What is worse, this latter constituency often appeals to their theological opponents to be more loving.

The thing that concerns me is that so many believers are concerned for other countries. Nobody seems concerned about this country. Yet there is such an apostasy in this land. We are the land of Bunyan, Milton, the Wesley’s General Booth. Looking at Cadburys life how he put his faith into action and built a village for his employees. What has happened to this country. We are a nation in desperate need of salvation.

KZread has given opportunities for talented people to do good and generate a following. That really is a wonderful thing to contemplate for those of us old enough to have grown up in a very different, poorer, world. We have to remember though that most channels are the work of only one person, perhaps with a little help. We must never assume that any channel will be there tomorrow, or that the person who has created it owes us explanations or apologies for absence. Like most of us, I noticed that you were not here, wondered a bit and wished you well. Welcome back.

It's really difficult, isn't it? We shouldn't be judgemental, but we need to call out sin when we see it. Then we get judged for being judgemental... and maybe even persecuted! But we can't "just be nice" and forget about justice - we have a responsibility to tell people what's right in God's eyes, and what's wrong.

Welcome back, Rev. Dan. Your comments about Christians being mean to each other intrigues me, it's one of the biggest reasons I left Twitter. What I really miss are your "Vicar's Life" videos where you'd just show what your life as a parish priest is like. I was going to go study to be a priest in the Episcopal Church USA, but they didn't want to put me through the discernment process. I had a good rector, so I knew I wasn't getting the Calvin Robinson treatment. Anyway, God bless.

You have a loving heart fashioned by father God. Many are called to be a cog in Jesus mission. May Holy Spirit refresh you and give you assurance as you introduce people to encounter Jesus. That’s all there is. You have a calling. Do not be overwhelmed, relax just swim one stroke at a time. You’ll never know in this life time how the seed you scattered took. Take care and lean on him who drew you. May the joyous blessings of Jesus encourage you with love and wisdom. Take care.

I have your concerns about LLF, but maybe we disagree on perhaps climate change. Not that I know what you do think about that, but many traditionalists think it's rubbish. I wish they were right but sadly they aren't. It's the battle of our times _after_ the integrity and spreading of the Best News Gospel. My dear Dan! We've never met. But that's a greeting in all sincerity, because you have been such an encouragement to me, to my wife and to others I know. Thank you for your honesty in this particular broadcast; and thank you for being open about wondering if you are doing the right thing, before our Lord Jesus. I too have been challenged about this -- the contrast between "jumping on the ideas or jumping on the people" -- and I have found that your channel has been a great encouragement and example in striking the right balance in being a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ while loving those with whom you disagree. So my wife and I have been praying for you, both in your parish work and in the much more public way shown in your videos. The crucial thing is for us -- and I include myself, as a Reader (lay minister) -- to be sure of what Almighty God is calling us to do, as distinct from what our own passions tend to drive us to. As you say, it's not about you; and your videos never come across as if it is about you. It comes across that it is about how the Lord Jesus is leading you and others to stand for godly truth. And there are so many struggles that inevitably arise from that standing. Tough stuff! (There must be a good-and-tight Pauline or other expression that would be more eloquent than those two words. But they'll do for now, eh?) So thank you! And may God bless you and your family; and may the Lord give peace to all of you.

Christian, or Biblical, meditation is thinking on Scripture, praying through a verse, phrase, word even while going through one's daily life. It doesn't necessarily need one 'stepping out', though being on a retreat can help, even for a day (the reason for a Sabbath - rest, with little or no distraction - day in the first reason, and it doesn't need to be a Sunday; not everyone gets the weekend off). Hope this helps a little bit.😇

There is always a risk when reporting negative news stories, especially church news, that a viewer may see the negative as about the whole church and move further from Christ. Still, I don't think that is a reason not to tell the story. I was at an event for the weekend that was billed (despite the actual reason) as a diverse and inclusive event. There were a lot of alphabet types, but we were there discussing mostly unrelated topics, and everyone dealt with each other as individuals.

I am a liberal Anglican priest (with an Evangelical background) and I sometimes wonder whether the ‘better way’ you talk about is the way of listening and being patient and tolerant. Accepting that Love cannot force others to change their opinions (though we may express our own), and that their reasons for their own opinions may have deeply held value for them. Part of the issue, of course, is how we treat the Bible - and I believe all of us are selective, the best example being the way in which, for centuries, the whole church has happily espoused Augustine’s Just War theory, which clearly goes counter to all the Biblical commands of, ‘Thou shalt not kill’ and ‘turn the other cheek.’ Why do we focus so much on sexuality when war and violence cause so much horror? Is it partly because more of us are likely to be affected by war and violence than by issues of sexuality? So we protect ourselves when our own interests are at stake, by modifying Biblical principles, but lay the law down over issues which don’t hurt us? I appreciate the diffidence and openness of your video (though I have only watched half). It feels very real. God is, I hope (!) very much at work in us during our times of confusion.

@@catherinellewelyn-evans3693 Can we lay to rest the myth that Jesus said nothing about it? _For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a man;_ The word the RSV translates as _fornication_ means all forms of sexual iimmorality in addition to adultery, the immorality of the OT holiness code. The word homosexual or equivalent might not have been used, but it is included in the meaning although it is not limited to that. Like all sin it defiles. I don't think you can make a case that Jesus in any way nullified the OT moral law. You are making an assumption that I have not seen the devastating effects the 'lifestyle' can have in real life. A society that rebels against God in this way will also be full of anger, greed, violence and abuse of power, the Romans 1 society, strongly present in modern Britain. All forms of unrighteousness increase when the truth about God is suppressed.

There is so much here that I disagree with that I just haven’t the energy to respond. One point only - have you never witnessed the terrible hurt that gay people experience from the Pharisees in the churches?

@@catherinellewelyn-evans3693 The short answer is no I haven't seen gay people being hurt by pharisees in the church - although I do not doubt some churches can be pharisiacal and some don't always cope very well. On the contrary, I have 'seen' through the first hand experience of my sister a gay man being welcomed into the church and its youth group on condition he didn't engage in gay relationships, only to find that when he wasn't affirmed and celebrated enough he was happy to wreck the entire youth ministry of the church. I have seen the intolerance of anything but total support and affirmation from that constituency. If you or I or anyone else is blatantly sinning we shouldn't expect to feel at home in the church, let alone be affirmed.

You ask, how can we speak truth in love? Love speaks truth not the other way around. And, maybe you're not speaking truth. Teach your parishioners how to find meaning rather than telling them what things mean. And, as a professional one way to do this is not give goofy sermons that are au courant. I can't tell you the number of goofy metaphors etc that I've heard. Poly ticks isn't love. People crave sacred spaces. Don't try to turn non-sacred spaces into sacred spaces. That really bugs them. Don't talk about Jesus at a bar. Don't talk about Jesus at work. Because what you do is trivialize the real sacred spaces. How do you evangelize., by walking the walk...don't be a hyprocrit. Also, never lose your sense of humor. Who wants to learn about jesus from nurse ratchet.
