I’m a much better maker - Over 100 pounds weight loss

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Yep, I said it! I’m a much better maker - Over 100 pounds weight loss. This is not a project video. Well, kind of, I guess. It’s a project on myself video. In this video I talk about my journey in my weight loss of over 100 pounds, so far. I talk about the why’s and how’s I did it. I talk about how much more I have to go. I pat myself on the back a bit on a recent big accomplishment of running the Peachtree 10k Road Race and I talk about my next short term goal of jumping out of an airplane to skydive. Is intermittent fasting a good choice? How about Nutri System? Making a better maker should always be our first priority and I hope this video inspires someone to take the journey themselves.

Don't quit, keep up the good work. Weight loss is not a sprint, its a marathon and you need to mentally prepare yourself for some lows. Best wishes.😃

Great story & congratulations on your success with the weight loss! Great to hear that you're motivated & haven't given up by any means, even tho at times you've been frustrated & felt like you weren't getting anywhere. Sounds like you've set your personal goals & you're sticking to them 👏!! Again, GREAT JOB! 🤜 🤛 👊.... I have also been on the bigger side throughout my entire life with 280 lbs at my biggest, around the age of 38. Unfortunately & fortunately (if that makes any sense) my weight loss came from a combo of things, such as picking up the game of golf. I began the game walking instead of riding a cart. That walk, on average, is roughly 5 ½ miles per round. I played 5-6 times per week, ALL walking. Once I learned how to play the game, it was nonstop. Any chance, any available time, etc. I dedicated the majority of the 1st year to practice & learning in order to not look like a jackass on the 1st tee box, lol 🤷‍♂️. Also, I quit drinking alcohol entirely. Quit drinking as much soda as I could tolerate, lol 🤷‍♂️. "Tried" to eat a little better at times. However, the "UNfortunately" comes in to play due to falling into a deap depression stage throughout this time period as well. Not sure how or why, but was thrown a curveball in life that I wasn't expecting or ready for, for a little more than a year. In total, I went from 280 lbs to now where I'm at, about 155 lbs, in my mid 40's. I'm still dealing with the depression end of things after 6 years, but thankfully not as severe as the beginning. Some days are better than others of course, but the weight has remained consistent. I'm grateful to have lost the weight due to the positive changes I made to do so. No so much due to the other reason for it. However, I'm grateful no matter what. I managed to lose weight, keep it off & continue to work on the depression. It's not easy by any means, but it's doable. I'm a living, walking & surviving testimony. Sorry for the life story, but thought I'd pass this along in case someone else in your comments has experienced the same difficulties. I'm rooting for ya buddy!! Keep pushing. The hardest step is always the 1st. You've accomplished that already.... now you just have to keep on keeping on 💯! Much respect 💯 🙌

I used to golf a very long time ago. Loved it! Haven't golfed in probably 20 years. Congrats on your weight loss as well and I'm sorry to hear about your bout with depression. The battle is real and I hope you have someone close that you can talk to when you need to. I don't know your beliefs, but I will pray for you my brother in Christ.

I’ve also lost around 100 pounds and I’m 50. I have some loose skin but I add powdered collagen to my coffee to help my skin tighten. It seems to be helping. Good luck with your goals and keep chugging along.

Congratulations Dale, I'm proud of you! It's not an easy thing to admit, or do for that matter! I waited so long to start to lose the weight, because I knew if I started too early, I would fail. In less than a year, I went 85 lb down. Today, I am still over 80 lb down. Why you ask? LOL well, I used to do things like make my own salad dressing with oil and vinegar and it got pretty boring. So now I treat myself to things like Caesar dressing. Yes, it's more calories and fat among other things, but it makes eating more enjoyable. I've also found the right kind of snacks, such as keto Doritos as well as other things like chocolate and ice cream. Running was another hard thing I started to do. I started running about 5 months after I started dieting. The first day, I made it about a block before I had to start walking. The second day I made it about a block and a half, walked and then ran another block and a half. By the third day, I was running a couple of miles Non-Stop, and there was no stopping me! I have run two half Boston marathons. Last year I ran just over 13 miles and this year I ran about 14 and a half miles. I'm hoping I can do a 3/4 Marathon next year if time allows since I go to work right after that. LOL again, congratulations and I have donated to your cause.

On the running, you are way in front of me. I've moved to rowing for a bit as my knee and foot are having pain so I needed a lower impact workout. I year you on the food. It's not about depriving yourself. It's about moderation. Now, you can't crave ice cream every night and let yourself have it, but from time to time it is okay. When I was about 22 I ran 13 miles once. Just wanted to see how far I could go, not an event or anything. Never done it again and years later I thought about it and even today keep thinking... Why did I stop at 13? Another 0.1 and I would have had half marathon distance. Oh well. Thank you very much for the donation. It really is a great organization.

@@BronkBuilt you are very welcome. As far as ice cream goes, I get this caramel salt keto ice cream bars at costco. It only has two net carbs and I think about 180 calories. Yes I have it just about every day. LOL my other choice of ice cream would be Rebel ice cream. Not a chocolate ice cream fan, but they're triple chocolate is good as well as their mint chocolate chip and coffee chip ice cream. A whole pint is somewhere between 4 and 8 carbs. Yes I eat the whole pint. LOL

Well done Dale, that's a great set of achievements you have reached, at 50 I stopped drinking alcohol and lost weight, I now stick to a vegetarian diet and force myself to eat a bowl of branflakes a day (good for you I know but soooooo unappetising), it's a different road for us I'm glad you and the family are finding yours, keep us updated it is inspiring.
