absoftitanium Her father is not a "college professor" he is a rich Israeli linguist, an honorary research fellow of the University of Manchester and a former Professor at the Department of Language and Culture of Ancient Mesopotamia of the Dutch University of Leiden. She is from a very wealthy and privileged family. Very few children can relate to this sort of kid.

If very few children can relate to this 'sort of kid' , it has nothing to do with her background, whatever it may be, it is because Alma is quite exceptional in ways that most children (or adults) are not.
I just love to hear her talk! So enthusiastic and expressive and original :-)
Precocious is by far an understatement to describe her to be honest. Just seems like Im looking at a very old soul in this young body.

MaverickArrowMusik - "a very old soul in this young body." Got it in one !! And, paradoxically, it's that 'oldness' which accounts for both her maturity AND her youthfulness (which will never quite desert her - even in advanced old age). What a joy it is to hear her talk and play.........................Balm for the Soul.

SHE'S A GREAT ADVERT FOR HOME SCHOOLING, AND HER PARENTS ARE ACADEMICS TOO, SO THE GENETICS MUST HELP. WATCH THE ONE HOUR BBC TV DOCUMENTARY ''IMAGINE'' ON YOU TUBE.
I just love the way she is. A bright light with a lovely character and verry smart. I'm following het for quit some time now, but time seems to have no grip on her. She growing up so slowly that I almost wish I could speed up time to see what's in store for us because I think she will do some great things. It amasses me that there aren't more people who know her. After all she already made some amassing music and is a great improviser.

Love Alma's music. And it's good to she she's rejecting the whole "next Mozart" label, unlike Emily Bear who said "I like Mozart because he's kind of like me and I'm kinda like him"

WHAT A FANTASTIC MUSIC GENIUS SHE IS !! BEST OF LUCK FOR A GREAT CAREER YOUNG LADY !! BLESS HER ...
Her vocabulary is really impressive. She possesses a higher level of vocal articulation then the average American adult. Her musical talents touch deep and are moving and inspiring.
Holy heck, I'm so jealous of her talent!
tears of joy and gratitude. beautiful.
Absolutely amazing! Such a talent! And you can hear the intelligence when she speaks! A very bright prodigy indeed! I hope great things happen for her and look forward to the day when a huge compilation of her improvisations is available (unless it alread is... is it?).
Amazing, such a focused & intelligent young person. I'm glad she had parents able to recognize her abilities & provide the early education to develop them.

Great Alma! Flow more tunes!
When I was 2 I couldn't even walk let alone play the piani
Wow!!! She is so gifted!! Amazing!!
I started walking when I was 2. Started running when I was 3. And they told me I was SO smart.
Its like she was BORN a genius!!! Truly a God given talent
Amazing little girl! How remarkable
Awesome work! I loved hearing that 😊
Such an old soul. Amazing little girl
4. Starts composing 3. Plays violin 2. Plays piano but she doesnt know she is improvising 1. Cant play piano because of physical limitations *she had to wait for body parts to form
She's so lovely my God
Her mind is so alive, she seems so awake as a human being, completely engaged in her life. It's remarkable to see, although it makes you feel dull and jaded.
I am stunned!! She is incredible!
She’s really humble
She is like a litlle Hermione Granger(just with music)
she amazing
She is a delightful girl with a mind of a genius. Charming personality too which is rare these days when one sees more musicians with an ego first before anything.
I love her accent! She is so talented... a true child prodigy

In October, 2019, Alma, now 14 yrs old, is going to recieve the "Newcomer Prize" at the European Culture Prize award ceremony at the Vienna State Opera. In December, she is going to be appearing at Carnegie Hall in New York City in a concert of her own compositions with the Orchestra of St. Luke's under the baton of renowned conductor Jane Glover. Alma will be performing her own violin and piano concerti and the orchestra will be playing selections from her opera, "Cinderella" as well as her new concert waltz, "Siren Sounds."

Please could you also disclose the name of her sponsor who pays for all that? I would love to know.
the only thing alma shares with mozart is musical genius, mozart was a also a renegade who liked to shock people with vulgar language and unrefined behavior, he also bucked the church and royalty patronage system and ventured into earning a living as an independent musician, unfortunately the timing was a little early in that the burgeoning bourgeoisie renaissance was only beginning and not able to support professional artists like mozart. alma seems to be very happy and content, and able to focus all her time on her profession.
She is so sweet
Little Alma big talent and lovely.
and they still continue the Mozart comparison
lov this :)
I’m 49 years old ....but I love you....I look forward to your career and will be watching closely....i play guitar and I’m into jazz in a big way and would really like to see you explore that route as your improv skills would shine in that genre. Listen to Stephan Grapelli as he was the master. And he played with Yehudi Menduin who I’m sure your aware of. Good luck Padwan
Mozart!? No way she is fresh to Classical music! We will see her evolution as one of the greatest composers of this era. She is creating with the instruments she dominate so bit by bit she will get to the Bartok size orchestra. She is not searching for the philosophical and technical aspects of music. She is like the greats, Mozart for example, looking after the beauty of music and it's redemptive quality. We need her, we need her pure heart to be translated into sound, texture and melodies. With her pure passion she has brought Hope to the musical world when sound became a window for the soul of youth in this strange devaluated 21st century. ¡Viva la música!¡Gracias Alma!
She is terribly gifted
Amazing and very eloquent girl. She speaks with adults like an adult.
I started playing violin at 2 but I quit for piano at 3 and made up little tunes as I grew but Im 15 now and I'm still not even close to her 😭😭 life ain't fair

Keep being inspired and feeling the joy of your music and it will come.
If you can't take the GREATEST delight in this beautiful young lady ('little girl' doesn't fit, somehow), in her unforced charm, her amazing talent, and her accomplishments thus far, then I suggest you pay an urgent visit to either a) a priest, or b) a psychologist, or c) a hearing specialist. You CERTAINLY need at least ONE of them.......................

Someone get this girl a DAW pronto 🔥
fuck, her vocabulary is outstanding.
I’m going for grade 3 violin but I’ve never done grade 1 & 2! 😩😩😩😩 Help me!! I’ve only ever done grades on my trombone lol
So it's been like 6 years. What is her life like now?
Interesting...
For those less well- informed journalists, Mozart was quite a mathematician ;Alma on the other hand , by her own admission isn't. Moreover, Mozart was also able to conceive a whole symphony in his head and flawlessly write it down faster than a professional copyist ! Both composers I admire enormously.
Ok well I started playing the kazoo at 1 month old
interesting
That's 'INTERESTING'
When you start composing, there is no way to stop stream of music ideas in your head, its like voices inside head of crazy man, only way to stop it is write it... You have huge potential, but you can only dream about Mozart level :)
