Heres another translation ive read: I loved you, and quite possibly this passion Has not extinguished fully from my soul; But you should not take gravely my confession; My wish is not to sadden, but console. I loved you hopelessly and in silent anguish, Distressed by jealousy and timid plight I loved you with such candor, such affection, God bless you find love as true as mine. O think its sounds more like russian, but i dont understand some words, so im not sure how accurate this translation is (but pretty accurate from what i can understand)

How many years does it take to learn Russian so as to grasp the beauty of Pushkin's poetry?

@@profriday many years actually, because Pushkin - old author. But if you want to, I’m sure that you can do this! I can’t tell you how long will it take, Russian is really hard (even for me, Russian), but it is possible! Anyway, hope you will have an amazing day and if you still want to learn Russian - good for you! I can help you with that, if you (or someone else) wants! 🤧

@@jheso1919 Thank you. It's very kind of you to offer help learning Russian language. I have always been fascinated by Russian culture, and that's why I bother to find out more about this great Russian poet. However, to learn Russian language (or any language for that matter) takes commitment which is a luxury I can not afford at this moment.

Beautiful poem but he didnt say the part about the embers instead he said extinguished : I loved you; even now I must confess, Some embers of my love their fire retain; But do not let it cause you more distress, I do not want to sadden you again. Hopeless and tonguetied, yet I loved you dearly With pangs the jealous and the timid know; So tenderly I love you, so sincerely, I pray God grant another love you so.
