Came out in 1987. Ann is 70 and Nancy is 66 I believe. They can still rock today. Saw them about five years ago. Haven’t lost a step.

Ann's voice is still in remarkably good shape. In fact she still had her full upper register up until 2016, and since then there is a marked decline in her upper range. However, her lower more soulful range is still very much intact and she is still a phenomenally powerful vocalist. I do, however, think her days of singing all the Heart classics in their original key is over unfortunately. But overall I'd still say she is, bar none, the best rock vocalist I've ever seen live.

Dude, these ladies did this video in 1987. The lead singer was 62 when they did the Led Zeppelin tribute so she is now almost 71 and still looks incredible and her sister on the guitar is 67 and still looks amazing and still kills it on guitar. These ladies are timeless beauties.

Heart has been around for over 50 years . Still an incredible band to see live .This particular song is around 1987 off their " Bad Animals " album . It peaked at #1 . Ann Wilson is a beast on vocals and she plays other instruments as well . Her sister , Nancy , is incredible on both acoustic and electric guitar . Review any song of theirs from 1976 ( debut ) to today , and incredible band .

They say that now, but they were fine with it when it was happening. I love Ann and Nancy, but they were very happy with all the dress up stuff until Ann gained weight, then all of a sudden it wasn't fun anymore. I truly feel for her in that regard, but when you allow yourself to be marketed as a sex symbol then you have to take care of yourself and she didn't. I'm so happy that she is healthy now and is finally getting her due respect for her incredible talent, but according to many who were around her at that time she was her own worst enemy.

You gotta remember, for a women to play guitar and get on stage and freely “be” themselves. To not have to dress modestly, but to enjoy being a women, freedom felt great! I graduated in 79’! These ladies paved the way, Heart, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Madonna, and numerous others that weren’t “allowed” to rock n roll before. It was unheard of.

I'd go with Cyndi Lauper over Madonna, though. Madonna basically just trawls gaybars and discos to steal whatever's huge in the gay community, whereas Cyndi Lauper (as weird as she may have become in later years) was truly creative years before Madonna even got on stage.

This is amazing and so overlooked, only people with extreme flexibility can do this, and she does it while banging out a guitar solo......amazing......I saw Heart in the 80's , NYC......Madison Square Garden and yes, from what I can remember, it was a great concert.

This song is an 80s classic, probably the definitive power ballad in an era where all hard rock and metal bands made a living off of power ballads. This band probably has a dozen songs that are truly considered classics from the 70s, but only a couple from the 80s and 90s even though the later decades are when they had their biggest chart hits and biggest commercial success. Alone is one of those classics. I hope you'll continue covering this band, I think they're great. My recommendations for the next song would be either "Crazy on You" or "Magic Man", which are both considered 70s hard rock classics along with Barracuda.

Hey, I recently found this song and I binge watch people reacting to it because I fell in love with it. I understand you with the "I think I heard this song before" and how it sounds like music from that era. This songe reminds me very much of Europe's "Carrie" - kzread.info/dash/bejne/faGLp5uOcqndpLw.html Starts with a piano, all calm, then the bridge is a little more powerful and the song "explodes" in chorus, although not as much as "Alone". Both bands also have this similar look to them. And I too noticed that A$$ shaking with the guitar and said the same thing, that I never seen anyone do that with a guitar LOL but that was very sexy. Sexy but classy women, great voices, great music, just 10/10 experience I rarely ever get to experience.

And back then there were plenty of songs of men singing about the same thing toward a woman. Back then we UNDERSTOOD romance and love, even when the song is about sex or part of it is about sex, unlike today's youth that have no concept of either because everything is BACKWARD!

@@POWER-LINKS AGAIN, WHAT music did you listen to? If you are referring to ACDC and Led Zeppelin, yes, you are right, they were NOT romantic at all, but almost everyone else included love and romance even when singing about physical intimacy, like "Waiting for a Girl Like You" by Foreigner or "Love Bites" by Def Leppard. And most LOVE songs you hear on the radio today ARE from the 70's and 80's, not today's. You are a liar when you pretend that today's youth do not do the same things as then. Covid happened, but it does not mean that today's youth are better than yesterdays'. They are into communism, Wicca, and porn. Never seen it this bad before. Sex at a concert? HUHH?? You must have been into metal or punk, because that is not what you get with Journey or Carly Simon.
