Ann Wilson is one of the greatest singers in Rock and Roll history. She matches up with anyone in any era. Heart has so many great songs. This also shows how great their songs are that you don't have to play it the way it was on the original recording and it still turns out fantastic.

I agree, I've had the pleasure of seeing some great bands live, Heart, Journey, Queen and Styx back in the seventies and eighties. She's up there with Steve Perry and Freddie Mercury, even Dennis DeYoung of Styx has a few songs that his vocals are pretty good.

I remember growing up as a kid listening to "These Dreams" and as I got older, "Alone" is definitely my favorite! Her voice is one of a kind!

That voice. Ann is truly one of the all-time greats. And Nancy is one of the most underrated guitar players, imo.

Its not just the power. Its the feeling that resonates to your core. She's a one off.

Heart is a great group..... Their best songs are: "Crazy On You", Magic Man", " Even It Up", "Straight On For You". Ann Wilson has one of the best voices in Rock history, male or female.

guitar intro on Crazy On You ranks right up there with Led Zepplin Stairway to Heaven. Agree on the last sentence: Ann Wilson voice.

Brother Jamal, I've heard this 1,000 times but, I was caught off guard by this acoustic version. I saw Heart in like 86 or 87 when I was 16 or 17 and man! I had a crush on Nancy going into the show and, during the show fell in love with Nancy too! I had seats that weren't far but, not super close. I swear she looked right at me but, I was one guy in a crowd of people so, wishful thinking! The version your familiar with has a piano opening but, Nancy is one of the best female guitar players ever, and between that and her beautiful voice this gave me chills too. I didn't expect that because it hasn't happened in ages and, plus I've known this song forever (I think I get chills when im slightly tired, life's been kicking my butt lately and, I finally got to sit still in some much needed peace and quiet!) These 2 sisters are the real deal, and have been since the 70s. I love how you never hear about any siblings rivalry or jealousy between them. They love and support each other from all accounts and, they've been writing great songs for all of these years. No falling outs or petty breakups. Just loving sisters who went from nobodies in the music industry to Rock Stars together. Alright, I'm a day late watching this one so I doubt anyone will read it but, just incase I'm glad I did. I needed to feel chills man! I've been like emotionally numb, and I thought I was losing my passion for music. So I really needed to get full body chills the way I did! Thanks brother Jamal and, shout out to my fellow good humans ✌️❤️🎸🤣

This is an emotionally stirring song so full of longing. Ann's voice brings forth that intensity. The Wilson sisters are amazingly talented. This was a beautiful live performance Jamel.

Ann's voice sounds bluesy even when she's just talking in regular conversation. Just an amazing voice.

I was at our local state fair here in WA state. They were performing in concert at that time. I was standing in line next to the bandstand to buy scones. (Longest line ever) probably 45 minutes. I got to hear them perform while waiting. Thier voices were belting out of that stadium. It was amazing. It was worth standing in that line just to hear that.

They performed These Dreams at the same concert, with Nancy singing lead, it’s worth checking out too.

Ann is still always on pitch. After singing for so long, the vocal cords get weak, but she is still bringing it....amazing.

Ann is a National Treasure 🪙. When you see her perform live, you'll realize that the microphone 🎤 is just a prop. She really doesn't need it at all. Her voice is perfection. ❤️

The studio version is awesome. It starts out as a seemingly love ballad, but the hard guitar riffs, drums, and heavy synthesizers/piano kick in and just makes it one hell of a song. And the fact that the sisters can belt out a tune adds fire to it

I’m my humble opinion that is one of, if not THE greatest female vocalists of all time, regardless of genre. And you can’t forget her sister bending those strings- that is a fantastic duo!

I’m so glad you chose the live version. The official video of course is amazing, but this version shows how well Ann’s voice has held up over the decades. And this more acoustic version shows off Nancy’s guitar playing and harmonizing talents.

This is just a more recent performance. They are still amazing!!!! She can always make my eyes water. Saw them live in 2019 and both myself and my wife cried. We've been huge fans for decades. Cool thing was that there was a teenage girl by us who sang every song along with them. Knew every word. It's really heartwarming to see young people appreciating great talent.

Ann Wilson has always been a powerhouse singer. Her sister Nancy is equally a powerhouse guitar player and has a beautiful voice. They exploded with the Little Queen album in 1977. I played that album so much I have a photographic memory of the album cover. Aside from the hard driving Barricuda and the funky title song Little Queen, there are some beautiful and amazing songs with string arrangements, acoustic guitar and even mandolins. Listening to Nancy Wilson's "Treat me Well" makes you feel like you're floating on clouds. A timeless album for me, for sure. Got to see them live in 1979 at the Texas Jam 2 and again for the very last official Texas Jam in 1987. Boston was there at both shows too.

Saw them live a long time ago. She's actually gotten better as she got older.

Ann and Nancy are in my opinion THEE BEST female rockers AND up there among THEE greatest rockers of all time. Period.

I was at this show, Jamel. This is from their show at Seattle's Paramount NW theater. It's stunning to think that it will be 20 years ago in August that this show took place. The Paramount NW holds a very special place in my heart (pun unintended). Some of my fondest memories are of going to shows in that building. Heart's show at Sky Church and their Road Home show are brilliant as well.

Honestly, never been much of a Heart fan but there is no way to deny the power of her voice alone and their harmonizing. It’s especially incredible on this song.

This is a great rock band that started in the 70's. Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. They have had so many great hits such as "Magic Man", "Crazy on You", "Barracuda", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams" & "Alone". In 2012 Ann & Nancy performed at the Kennedy Center Honors in a tribute to Led Zeppelin doing their classic song "Stairway To Heaven".

Fifty-plus years later and the sisters are still belting it out! Amazing.

When you get a chance...check out Heart at the Kennedy Center, Stairway to Heaven, for Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant gets choked up as Ann Wilson KILLS IT! I always get chills too, listening to Heart ❤️

This is from their Live In Seattle DVD which for my money is their best live show, hands down. IMO, Live In Seattle is to Heart what PULSE is to Pink Floyd. Great reaction brother!

I was fortunate to get to hear them live back in the day...both with the band, and just the two of them. Either way, it was magical!! Nancy is a stellar guitarist, and Ann's voice is second to none! They both play other instruments as well...an amazing amount of talent in those two!!! Love them! 🎶❤❤

Ann's singing is great, but, Nancy's is also. Probably the best known Heart song with Nancy singing lead is These Dreams.

Saw them live for the first time at the Texxas Jam in 79. It was raining and the wind was blowing their billowy stage clothes. Unforgettable!

I just saw an interview where Ann said one of her favorite songs (of theirs) is "Dog & Butterfly" (studio version). I've been requesting it for a long time, hoping one of my favorite reactors would react to its simple beauty but no one has yet. I'm gonna keep hoping though. 💙🐕🦋☮

She is one of the greatest rock singers out there. She covers Zepplin and does and incredible version. Back in the 70 Linda Ronstadt was one of the best female singers

I wanted so bad to say hold on Jamel here it comes and you got it. I hear there might be one last tour in for them if they do tour you've got to go see them live. First time I saw him was at Summer jam Arrowhead stadium 1979 it was Missouri, Sammy Hagar, the cars, Heart, and Ted Nugent and when heart finished half the crowd left not because they didn't want to see Ted Nugent but basically heart wore us all out they were that damn good. If you get a chance look at clips from night at sky Church where they did a live concert or you can rent the whole concert it's a must see.

Those people should have stayed for Nugent. I saw him a decade later in 1988 co- headlining a show with KISS and he was awesome. I kind of had the feeling that I wouldn't like him either but boy was I wrong. His energy and musicianship were top notch.

This stripped down version from the Live In Seattle DVD release is, by far, my favorite. Along with Mistral Wind and Love Alive, Ann wilsons vocals blow me away every time I listen to it.

I knew that scream was coming up at 4:43, but I was wondering if she would nail it live after all these years. Damn. She did.

I think I was there for this concert (or at least for that tour). This is what I remember, Ann on vocals and Nancy with an acoustic guitar. Probably the greatest live vocal performance I've ever seen.

Jamel , I'll tell you I have seen some great singers in my lifetime in concert. Next to Robert Plant or right alongside Robert Plant, Anne Wilson has been the best I've ever seen live. My jaw dropped at hearing her, no auto tune , no tricks...she did a version of Baba O'Reilly that rivals Roger Daltrey. She hit every dang note perfectly, sounded better than the vinyl. Just love her!

Great song, powerful song. Amazingly powerful vocals and to think this is when these ladies, were not in their prime, this was in their later career and it's an acoustic live version at that. Thank you Jamal for reacting to this song. I needed to hear this, I haven't heard this song in so long and it was just what I needed.

This whole show with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from 2016 is fantastic. Remember, Ann is 66-67 years old at this time and still sounds this AMAZING. Also big props to Nancy on the acoustic and amazing harmonies.
