    Hey Lex, great vlog as usual sorry the run good wasn’t there. Just a thought regarding these “stream” vlogs. I think it makes it more fun when the vloggers blur out the opponent’s hands recapping a steam. Just feedback from a fan!

    Definitely unlucky there and we all know the feeling top pair doesn’t hold in a big pot vs overs and flush draw. However, as long as it’s a good call there’s nothing to be regretted. A3 hero call shows your skills and good mindset.

    Hey Lex I just came across your channel...(algorithm hooked me up) and I'm becoming a huge fan of your content. I'm probably going to get roasted for that statement 😂😂 but fuck it!! I've been playing poker since the days of straight $2 limit Holdem and $140 one table sng's (Florida card rooms weren't allowed NLHE cash games until 2006). I'm playing in Miami again (after moving back from living in Sarasota for 10 years) and Florida poker is a completely different animal. I follow a couple of vloggers and Ive always said their games play soooo different from what I'm used to in Florida. (Brad Owen getting wrecked at the Hard Rock is an example of how it's a different beast out here) This is why I love your channel, it shows the wild table dynamics and outrageous lines players take in all the different stakes. Anyways, I'm glad I found your channel... Keep pushing the great content. I hope to see you climbing the stakes, crushing it on live streams (you're definitely due for some good variance), and showing the world that there are true grinders in Florida playing solid poker. Much love ✌️✌️✌️

    It sucks when one big hand changes your session. I will say I think the snap call with the AJ was a bit ambitious. I get the call, but I think taking some time and maybe realizing he may have your crushed already would be worth the time. That's my thoughts anyway, and you are definitely a way better player than I am. Love your vlogs and your transparency.

    This was a delicate one. A) Strong points: It's a TPTK, 3bet pot, opponent cannot have many overpairs. Quad and FH are excluded,...so, what does he have after he shoves flop?? B) Weak points: 1. A bluff? Possible. 2. A combo draw: flush draw plus overcards? KQ, AK?? (15 outs!). Yes, yes and yes. 3. Is one pair enough to call a shove and go to showdown with it? Nah... --------------------------------------- It's a fold. Or be prepared for worst case scenario. If you're not ready for either or...then, you know what is to be done. My 2 cents.

Sure you could be ahead but most of the time you are flipping or chopping with another AJ or losing to a set or a weird 2 pair..The point is why put yourself in this position 4 your whole stack if you're playing poker for a living...Obviously I'm exaggerating about $2 mill in the bank but you get the point.

Wouldn‘t be shocked to see KKsx or QQsx there, seems like a 50:50 Call to me. One more point at 10:05: Raise is fine and satndard, but you say, you don’t want to be in the middle. @@ericstayman4912 you have to take each hand at a time and for me, calling for an 11k pot when you k ow your opponents range is tight is the wrong move. • @ericstayman4912

    @ericstayman4912

    2 жыл бұрын

    I agree, but that was not the analysis. He was not 4-Bet in the hand so you can eliminate Qs Ks As. This player was super aggressive and this would be a slam dunk 4-Bet Pre. The balance here is hands containing a 7 like A7, 78, and 76 suited varieties which only have 2 combos of each. And if he is calling 3 bets out of position with all these suited combos he is also playing a ton of 65 suited 89 suited and 9T suited which he is ahead of as well that don’t have overs. There is plenty of AK AQ and KQ combos he is ahead of and flipping vs all the club varieties here. And given Lex had the Ac he blocks 2 of the club combos AQ and AK clubs. I don’t think the bet is wrong and this player could easily have had KJ suited and called off. Again result oriented post IMO. Guy had KQ clubs the only over card combo with clubs lex could not be just straight flipping against. But I do agree with you if his range is more condensed or somehow a 4-Bet was made he has a lot more over pairs in his range. And this is a much closer fold, and that is given Lex calls a 4-abet with AJ off which I think is a pretty easy pre flop fold even to an aggressive pre flop raiser. Love poker and best of luck to you at the tables. Great discussion! Thanks for responding.

    I'm surprised you snap called with the AJ mainly because imo 1 of your strengths is your methodical approach to the game. I still believe you should have called and would have done so anyways, but when you are 1 call away from playing the biggest pot of your life as you told us, you probably should think about it a little bit. You didn't say it in your vlog, but I got the feeling you didn't give that player much credit for a big hand, probably after he bluffed you with the 108. Maybe that factored into your decision of a snap call. Eventually you'll run well on a stream though Lex I'm sure of it.

    My hand is way to strong to fold in a 3 bet pot starting the hand 50 big blinds deep. Just unlucky

    @@lexopoker I agree. My point was that based on watching you play it surprised me you snap called so quickly for that huge a pot. I agree it was the right call but for the biggest pot you've ever played I would have thought you would have at least thought about it for a minute. But ultimately I agree it was the right call but you got unlucky.

    @@MichaelB-od3xh I think Lex was pumped up and had decided before this stream that nobody was bluffing him. That's sure the way it came off.I also think Lex gets dealt more than his fair share of premium hands in most games especially the hard Rock latley..So when he was card dead that made that AJ and a J high flop look even better. If he was getting dealt better hands all night I don't think he snap calls there. Lex needs to work on Tilting when he's card dead or after losing big pots. That's not a jab it's a fact. We all do it to a certain degree and I think he was getting impatient with all the bad cards he was getting and the lack of action on the stream.

    Difficult session. However paying the overbet shove in this hand with AcJh on 7dJc7c is, in my opinion, not the best decision, especially because you have the As of club, which reduces a lot of semi bluff shoves in the opponent range. Sure that there is no much 7 in his range(A7ss, 67ss, 78ss🤷‍♂️) but he could have trapped with QQ, KK or even AA too. You have to have a clear read on your opponent and be sure that he will never do that move with trips to make this call. Because even if it's a flush draw he has decent odds. Have you tried this spot in a solver? I believe that spot is EV-, except once again if you know the opponent enough to be pretty sure he has a flush draw.

    I think with trips quads or over pairs he doesn’t just check jam he would check raise to 1500-2,000 then jam turn

    @@lexopoker This is the basic strategy yes, but his flush draws with his move are mainly AcXc... and you had the Ac... he can check/jam with overpair, AJ, or with a 7 to trick you, knowing that you won't call without a J or overpair even a standard raise. I believe that the solver will tell you that this call is globally EV-

    The action in the 5-10 is much better at the bestbet orange park which isn’t far from that room. A smaller room but better action for sure.
