I lost my job in Covid time , and it was a shock to get to know I lost my job only when my credentials stopped working and I got to know I got laid off only through a recorded zoom call , I was lost , i dint had confidence to find another job , but I realised it’s just part of our journey called LIFE and moved on , found a better job in a month , I felt happy and glad and yet it proved again everything happens for a reason

I also got laid off end of August 2023. Even though I could I understand the reason, same as you, the delivery of the bad news was the one that hurt the most - no emotion, cold, no compassion. I've worked for this company for almost 15 years, and all of sudden I felt like a trash - an important part of my life all of sudden lost. I haven't made any attempt to apply for a new job and the reason is that I just want to take a rest and try to ask myself what do I really want to do, but I feel so guilty of not having any work, even though financially I'm not in a critical situation to find a job real soon, but also lose some motivation of trying to find one. I've been trying to make use of this "free time" to be more productive, but most of the time I'm failing. Hopefully a little bit little it will get better. At the same time, I just have to really let go my anger, as it's not doing me any favor. Good luck to you Kumar. I'm sure you'll do well in whatever you put your time and mind.

@@KumaarFamily As I am sure you know, the "coldness" is all for legal reasons. If you were told "You have done a great job and your contributions are really appreciated and have provided a lot of value. But the business environment has changed and your role is no longer needed" basically too much info for the employee to decide to sue "See, they said I was valuable and they got rid of me rather than judy because I cost more!" But sometimes things slip through! When I was laid off, between notification and last day, I received my final annual review, which started "Another good year for [me]" Thank goodness, if it had been a bad year I might have been, oh wait!

This is my story. For 20 years, I was contented working in a college, by an amazing management. Not all the best and rosy, yet, the best company. Then, company was sold for merging with another college. All broke loose. Horrible bosses, work long hours, can’t take leave, work from home etc etc. My lady boss, a rude, brutal woman, until I left. Along the years, I took up yoga and last year at 58, I started my zen, Nava’s Zen. Proud of how I worked out my life. Life is such and surprisingly, will lead to better paths. ❤❤❤

A company will drop you as fast as they can to save a buck without ever considering about what it would do to you. You'll make it through. You've got you're head on your shoulders. Thanks for sharing the story, I lost jobs twice in my decades of career, the last one did gave me some anxiety, but I pump myself up each day by telling myself that what does not kill me will make me stronger, that gave the fighting spirit to stay healthy and focus, and stick to the plan. Within a couple months I got a job thru friends network at lower pay, and 1.5 years later, I hopped to a job with one of the top companies in silicon valley that it became my best , and most lucrative one in my entire career. Had I not got layoff, I wouldn't have gotten that. so, you viewers are right, this could be the beginning of your best chapter. Best of luck!!

you're ain't alone, i was being laid off and i was divorced by my wife during this tough time whom spent 15 yrs together. I am still trying to embrace the fact these are happening on me, and i am embracing this and trying to tell myself to go on, and doing my best for my 5yo daughter during my 1-day per week during visitation in KL (although my life still a mess now). Watched this video brought up all the reels of the bad memories and tough weeks and months i am going through these while, made me tear and weep that i dont wish to.

@alvms85 thanks 🙏🏻. But still trying hard to get hire for a job. (got a comp "pre-hired" me, offered me package & remuneration all in letter offer, but after 2 days pulled back gave me lame reason that i am overqualified, I was shock as they ady knows my background & experiences in my CV. I was being FFK by that China based technology company in KL for lame reason. I have did my best, done my part by passing 3 rounds of interviews, did an industry research homework the 1st interviewer requested me to do for them, took me 1 week 24x7 to complete into Ms. PPT deck, passed 3rd round with their CEO... and yet, they just pulled off the offer for 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Luck just not shine on me, that's the msg i got. Getting hired is the only strength to pave me through these tough time, and pace me forward for better self and also helps me provide better for my daughter moving forward. A solid job is my only savior (tbh, the 1st week i was struck by my ex wife of this decision, i did think of ending my life, cuz to me i was devoted to my family, wife and kid is my 200% focus in life, but sadly my ex wife jumped ship during moment i was facing toughest period. Now, i have started to embrace the fact these are happening, and i need to live better, but I am still lacking of luck.

Loved Kuala Lumpur and I took a dozen photos of the Twin Towers. I then took a long bus drive that crossed the bridge to Singapore. I saw more of the lovely southern parts of Malaysia. Sorry about your job loss. I learnt about passive income early on in my career and when I was retrenched, my side hustles were making me double what I was earning at my full time 9-5 job. So did business (he had expertise) with him -made 1 mill. However, I cut short all my expenses, lived on essentials for few years. I am really glad that I lost my job, else I would have been stuck with the job. It was very stressful in the beginning but I kept my cool and was persistent. In few years, I think, I can have decent retirement…… will move on to not so stressful work… prolly will hire manager/ staff and reduce my workload. Will monitor closely ………. What seems to be depressing/ tragedy at that time turned to be blessing in disguise!

Inflation has a greater impact on people's cost of living than a crashing stock or housing market, resulting in an immediate and tangible effect. This explains the current high level of negative market sentiment, and our need for assistance in surviving this challenging economy. The financial markets have underperformed due to fears of inflation, causing stock and bond prices to plummet. Despite sounding basic, consulting a financial advisor has enabled me to outperform the market and achieve a profit of $850,000 since June 2022, making it the ideal approach to enter the financial markets today.
