I realized that when I beat myself up mentally and verbally (and do behaviors like binging to self sabotage or deal with pain) that I'm actually continuing to do the job of those who have abused or hurt me. Their goal was to tear me down, but even when they aren't here, I'm still doing the job for them. I'm repeating what they said to me or what they convinced me to believe about myself. So when I start dwelling on a bad belief about myself that was formed from others...I stop and say, "NO. I'm not doing that job for them any longer! I'm free now and, in my own house, I can choose a different belief" and then I treat myself better. ❤

Its a game changer isn't it xx
Carla, you've sold me on BodySlims by now. I "only" have 10kg to loose but those have been bothering me for a couple of years now. I have kept all of the clothes I used to love to wear and I desperately want them to fit again. Sometimes I get the feeling that if one is already in the "healthy weight" range but on the upper end it's kind of not allowed to want to lose weigh. But no more listening to other people's opinions. I am worth being at my ideal weight and I am allowed to take the help I need to get there just as much as any other person. Thank you so much for teaching us viewers that we are worth showing up for ourselves no matter what each person's background is. 💕
This is so important in so many ways. To be able to think from different perspective is crucial and also be resilient and flexible in your thinking, not just fixed in black and white.
Changing the internal script…. Awesome video Carla! Thank you❣️
I just found you, and you are inspiring to me. I am on my own weight loss journey and how I choose to age. I do believe there is power in mindset.❤
I am at the start of my own weight loss journey, and one of the biggest mind set shifts I've found to help is 'would this be what a healthy person would do' I put myself into the mind of what my goal would be so in my case, to be healthy, health problem free and active. And I ask myself, would that person eat that? and if the answer is no, I don't eat it. I love how this fits in with your grounding technique and I will be using them alongside each other.
I love your view on "privlidge" -- I used to get down on myself for having low income, but then when I looked around I was like, "Sure, I'm broke, but I've got stability to show for it." and now I feel rich. Lol 😺
I need to watch this every day❤️ I appreciate you taking the time to do this video. I think this could be life-changing.
I will watch this video multiple times in the future. 🐈🐅🌺 Wishing everyone the best, let's show up for ourselves.

I like the idea of reframing from 'I have to ________ to I get to________'. I plan watch this video again later with my notebook in hand to write down a few things that I want to remember. Thank you !!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
🐈⬛🐾 I’m currently working towards a mind shift and you’ve been extremely motivational. Your story resonates with me so much! Thank you for posting your journey 🖤💖🖤
I know this is an older video, but I watched it this morning, thought about it all day and rewatched it this evening. I felt very seen and this is exactly the push I needed to get a better mindset. Thank you Carla. ❤
You look gorgeous, Ms. Carla !!!! And more importantly, THANK YOU for sharing these insights...THIS is what I needed to hear today.... to nudge me out of my inertia blah slump....helps me to increase my gratitude list, honoring emotions, busting through procrastination. These concepts are helping me with many things...... like my artistic, creative life, as well as helping me get in shape. Lots of THANKS for your hard work, and light and love from across the pond. Thank you for this video. It's amazing! I have never looked at many of these topics in this way. Lately I have become very apathetic about things in my world. I've felt powerless to change things and so have just been swept along with a 'whatever' attitude. Your words here have really resonated with me. I've taken a LOT of notes and hope to implement these changes. You're wise beyond your years. Thank you for making such an honest and insightful video. 😸

🐈⬛ 💕 I love all this in theory- just need to actually follow through with action. Like actually do it- not just think, ‘that’s so inspiring! That’s so true! I should try that!’
Carla, thank you so much for sharing your story. All my life I have been overweight with ups and downs. I have joined Weight Watchers numerous times but rarely stick to it so it is a waste of money and time to attend meetings. I want to be inspired by someone's weight loss and I am until I end up giving in to whatever unhealthy foods I eat. I am addicted to sugar and breads. I know I often eat sweets when I am not hungry, probably out of habit and because it is there. My youngest is following in my footsteps and she is only 10. I don't want her to struggle like me or feel insecure about her body. I can walk to the gym I once used to work out in but working full-time made me lazy I guess. I got bored with the gym and do not have anyone to go with but isn't that just an excuse? I enjoy walking and I know that is an option without putting up the roadblock of only walking when I walk my dog. I am 48 years old and I don't want to look my age or worse, older. I dread taking pictures because I was never photogenic to begin with but pictures show the truth of how I look and how I don't want to look. I plan on listening to your podcasts on repeat sometimes to get inspired! Thank you.
😊❤. Another great one. It would be great if you could list out the Five things in the comments for future reference. Just bullet points 😊 thank you

Interesting that I went through over a dozen of your videos, starting with the first one and none of them show a video of you at 300 lbs...can you explain that?
@rosieds4996
3 ай бұрын
Your question comes across rather accusatory or like you don’t believe she really lost this weight because you don’t see a video? Most of us don’t like videos taken when we’re overweight so maybe she didn’t do these videos then.

There's one at the beginning of this one 😅 also, why? Why do you want to discredit what she did? You need some introspection on why you are reacting that way. Even if she would not have posted something, has it ever crossed your mind that when she was overweight she might not have enjoyed filming herself for self-esteem reasons? She built her success and confidence + she does speak from experience. We can feel it.
