Obviously, the ex understands that he needs to get his own place, but he is probably scared and on uneven ground unable to get himself a good and secure home. Tony being a good man allows him to stay until the ex gets his feet under him again. The wife feels similar in the way that she wants him out of the house, but under comfortable conditions. Otherwise she wouldn't have invited him back. The key word here is the husband is ALLOWING the ex to stay. Not being stepped all over and being forced to tolerate his wife's ex at their house. He is a man that is very secure in himself and his relationship who also has a kind heart and understanding views. Obviously, it has led to an unusual situation, but what more can you really want in a partner?

maybe you'll be in an adult relationship one day; don't worry, most people don't have them. If you cannot break up respectfully and maintain friendship afterwards; either one or both of you are crazy or immature. It is normal for people to try and be together in life and realize you don't mesh well and separate on good terms. Being in bad relationships with poor communication skills and lack of understanding of each other lead to toxic break ups. As long as both people maintained mindfulness throughout the relationship, breaking up is just something that happens and you should still be able to respect each other and yourselves.

I have a similar situation my husband and I are friends with my ex of 15 years and his wife. We are all friends, hang out on regular bases. I am godmother to their son. Relationships are unique.

My mom was in the same situation. Her ex husband stayed in the house with her current one for years. I still called him my step dad because that was my brothers dad and when he got sick I moved him into my place until he passed away on Valentine’s Day. Both men were on the same track so it can happen but only if they are mature about the situation.

I am currently married to my current husband for 20 years and my ex was down on his luck and my wonderful husband suggested he move in with us. He was her for 2 1/2 years and we had to ask him to leave, he was too comfortable too. AND...There was definitely NO hanky panky!! I know that things like this seem crazy but good for her husband for being a kind person to try to help another human being out. But Vernon, it's time to go!!

I'm happy there's ppl who can still be best friends after a divorce, the husband is kind hearted but the giant has to understand time to move out.

I ain't gonna judge their lifestyle because all 3 of them seem to pretty comfortable with it. Cause if they wanted him out the house he'd be gone. I think she likes having two men around and all around cool with it. I think between the 2 guys they have understanding so they ain't really trying to change the situation either. Notice when the guy moved, he moved right down the street, not another city or state. He moved right where she could walk down and find him.
