I'm down in South Wales and local town to me is Newport, which is now like a ghost town with homeless sleeping in the doorways of the old shops. Like you the UK has provided me with the ability to be able to retire in another 4yrs. Safe to say I'm counting down the days. I'll then be off to Thailand to enjoy retirement. Do I hate the UK....No, but it's become a country where people are afraid of saying the wrong thing run by total idiots.

Politically the UK is a disaster. Agree that its is beautiful in The Lakes, Peak District, Cornwall, Scottish Highlands etc. In the UK we are taxed to death, political correctness, get fined for anything and everything, udeless police, politicians etc. I am thinking of returning to Thailand too.

God it is bleak isn't it? Congrats on selling your house, and bon voyage for the big trip, look forward to hearing (and seeing) about it! From my point of view, shorter vlogs, maybe more often (though one a week is pretty good) are more interesting. I watch quite a lot of different KZreadrs and don't always have time to watch longer videos, up to 20 minutes is about right. But that's just me, you do you! Whatever sadness and hardship you've had in your life, you're making something really good of it now, bless you.

The UK has had its best years only going to get worse for the working people, they'll work all their life's to just get by in life .some won't ever be able to afford to buy a house and work to retirement age .and have Nothing.

The middle and lower classes ended up voting Conservative who refuse to tax the super rich to an adequate level as they are their chums. Wealth gap has become huge as you ultimately have ended up in a system where those with the assets (retail and commercial property owners mainly) have created too much of a gap The goverment pumping out billions in covid made the problem so much worse as that money ended up with the super rich who own the assets. Joe public were fooled into thinking the government was helping them.

Unfortunately, governments have been allowed to cause the decline of Britain, Manufacturing has been allowed to relocate to the Asian continent and EUROPEAN countries. What's left has been acquired by none British organisations and foreign shareholders, Coal mining gone, shipbuilding gone, steel industry gone, motorcycle and car industry gone, when industries go so does thousands of jobs, causing a knock on effect leaving Town centre shops to close their doors forever. All the mass illegal immigration hasn't helped the situation, more pressure on Services to provide care, financial support and accommodation shortages. Covid caused many small businesses to close and unfortunately never recover, at the moment it’s not looking like anytime soon will it happen..
