I left Russia 2 years ago - first I moved to Georgia, and now I live in Lisbon, Portugal. In today's video I decided to take you guys walking in Lisbon and answer all of your questions in this RUSSIAN Q&A! In this video I'll be talking about leaving Russia and my new life in Portugal. We'll talk about if Portuguese sounds like Russian, about my Slavic encounters in Lisbon and the status of my immigration. We'll also talk traveling in Europe, if I feel any Russophobia in the West and more. I hope you enjoy this tour around Lisbon and subscribe for more videos! thx xoxo

12:16 Hello, Roman! I have a suggestion for your allergies. I am also an immigrant. I am a Brazilian guy that moved to the US 30 years ago. When you move to another country, you get exposed to pollen you were never exposed to in your country of origin. One natural way of coping with this problem is to put locally-made honey in your tea. It has to be local honey made with pollen from local plants. This will increase your tolerance to local pollen and, hopefully, help you to adapt to the new environment. This hypersensitivity to pollen is something that has happened to several of my immigrant friends and, consuming locally sourced honey, has helped them.

Did you even watch the video? Understand ... If you're not ethnic Han, it is damn near impossible to get Chinese citizenship. And one more bit to know ... At this point in China's evolution, if you actually want Chinese citizenship you likely have only two digits in your IQ score, and the first one is likely not even a nine.

I'm an American living in Portugal with a Portuguese residential visa in my US passport. I'm learning to speak Portuguese. Anyway, I understand. 40 percent of Americans haven't ever left the US and 11 percent have never left the state they were born in. It's a big country, so it's very difficult for those who don't travel to understand all the things involved. But I can criticize my country and the political leadership without having to worry about my documents being renewed. At least not yet.

I'm actually surprised that 60% of Americans have already traveled abroad (I guess they count in Canada). The US is soooo vast! From Seattle to Miami in a Greyhound bus might probably take you multiple days. Where I live in Germany (Heidelberg), the capitals of France, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Luxembourg and the Netherlands are closer to me than Berlin. To Paris it's only 5½ hours (540km). While to Berlin it's 6½ hours (630km), via Autobahn. Miami to Seattle is 5310km (tenfold of my way to Paris)!!! You're never leaving the borders of the country and never have to use another language. You can always pump gas on an Exxon station, buy Gulp cups at 7/11, coffee from Dunkin' and get a pizza from Domino's. Or getting help by the AAA, if your car gets in trouble. And via SiriusXM, you can listen to the same radio stations on the whole trip. From Lisbon to Moscow, in comparison, it's "only" 4.650km. On the way you're passing different "world's". The only thing you might be able to find everywhere is McDonald's ("We all living in America...") Except for Russia, since 2022.

I did an internship in Poland and we had fun realizing that the words and meaning behind them sound like total gibberish to both sides. Also, I suggest you search about the Nacional 2 (N2) road. It goes from the north to the south of the country and is a great way of learning about the "real" country and diverse cultures in the different regions. Great content potential, honestly.

I'm from Brazil, and I know quite a number of men called Israel here. It isn't exactly a common name, but it isn't rare either. In the late 1980s, a large Brazilian construction company was hired by the then Saddam Hussein regime to build a road in Iraq, and it took a lot of Brazilian specialized workers there (leading to a massive emergency evacuation operation later when the First Gulf War started, not to mention the construction company's near-bankruptcy when the works were suspended and the Iraqi government had its international bank assets frozen and defaulted its debt - but I digress...). A friend of mine went to work there, and he had a colleague whose first name was Israel. According to my friend, that Israel guy had problems at immigration when he arrived, and later faced overt discrimination from Iraqi and other Arab workers. The poor guy was a non-practicing Roman Catholic with no interest in international politics and obviously didn't choose his name, but it was what it was...

Maybe you mentioned it before and I didn't catch it - have you ever been to therapy? You're in a situation in which you could really benefit from it, you have a lot to process indeed and with the aide of a therapist you can make the most out of your suffering, as odd as that might sound. Anyway, good luck! I'm sure you'll adjust to Portugal as it's a very "easygoing" culture. You'll fit right in.

I love the outside talk videos :) I think having stuff going on in the background feels really chill and its relaxing to watch :) You should make more content outside! Sunlight and vitamin D helps a lot with wellbeing.
