    "photography horror stories" you want stories, talk to any US Military photographer. I got one, too, when I was a USAF Photographer, it was back in the early days of digital cameras, before there was a "no card" warning. So big squadron, in formation, I am in a cherry picker, up in the bucket, took a bunch of shots, got back to the office, no CARD..........lol, reshoot
