    Thank u so much😘. Finally someone is teaching me knitting with straight needles, I've been looking all over the internet and almost started to feel that I can not make anything with straight needles knitting. 😍you are so talented the way you made the neckline and decreases in the sleeves. I will start practicing on my old, over practiced on yarn, and who knows maybe with your easy and comprehensive explaining I might get good at it enough to actually buy some new yarn. (I'm a beginner at knitting and English is my second language, sorry). I wish you goodluck on your channel and wish you teach more straight needle knitting projects. 🌸🌼💮

    Size 7 needles should work, but it depends on your yarn (I recommend using the needle size that’s on the yarn label, but if not, try knitting a small square to find the gauge, and then use it with your measurements to create a pattern). I hope this helps :)

    Do you have a written pattern on Etsy or a tutorial you used for the neckline? It is the one area I am finding hard to fully understand.

  • @Sig33

    @Sig33

    3 жыл бұрын

    I didn’t use a specific tutorial, but look up how to pick up stitches, and once you’ve picked up the amount of stitches that were on one side of the neckline, start doing rows of ribbing, continue doing rows of ribbing until you’re happy with the height of the neckline. Then cast off and do the same thing on the other side of the neckline. After, stitch up the 2 sides of the neckline together on the sides. I hope this helps!

    Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me when shaping the neckline when I am decreasing my rows from 43 count to 30 ( I am on left shoulder side) ~ do I decrease only on the knit row by knitting 2 together, then a normal purl row? or is it on every knit row decrease 2, purl row decrease 2 then purl. Thank you Ahh I am so confused

  • @katie-fq7dg

  • @Sig33

    The measurements in inches will totally work, but in terms of stitches, I’m not sure. I recommend looking at your yarn label, calculating how many stitches and rows in a 1x1 inch square (or cm), for both knitting and crocheting, and then compare. If they’re the same measurement, it could totally work (keep in mind the stretch of the stockinette stitch though, you might want to make the crochet sweater slightly bigger since it probably won’t stretch much). Hope this helps!
