I kited to this MASSIVE ship!
The ships in Cape Town are HUGE. I am SOOOO happy to be back in the water after 2,5 months without being able to kite due to my knee injury. The feeling is pretty insane and can't really describe it. I've been training hard to get back on the water as soon as possible and I can now happily say that it is paying off. During my injury time I also noticed those massive ships from the beach and had the idea to have a closer look as soon as I could kite again. I'm only allowed to ride up and down, due to my knee injury, so this was a very nice adventure :)

Happy to see you on the water. I recently injured my lower back snowboarding and I can't kite =( Plus the windy season just started here in the bay area. It's making me go crazy. I've been at the point where I was going to kite regardless of my injury, but you inspired me to stay calm and heal. I hope to be back in the water soon.

that's good to hear! That's what I learned mostly, be patience and give it time to heal. It's not worth to rush it because it will slow you down in the long term!

The fin you saw is from a "molo" or a sun fish. People mistake it some times as a shark fin.

Aren't you afraid of kiting this far away from the beach? I mean... I would be! If something goes wrong with your equipment then you probably have trouble getting back to the beach?! However, I'm happy you're back on the water.
