The one upside to fast traveling, you dont lose daylight during the load and I dont think theres any time jump based on your distance fast traveled. It help you maximize your daylight everyday. Sometimes you can physics push a carcass around to get the harvest thing out of the ground. I refused to put down a bear rug in my house until I'd actually killed one. I used a bow to kill my first one for a side quest. You didn't even use stone spears, I'd say you earned that rug. Just remember to pick it up before you distroy your house, if you intend on upgrading down the line.
It might be good to carry reeds around in your backpack. That way, you won't need to take up gameplay time looking for tools since your videos are short. There is always rocks and sticks laying around. Reeds are hard to come by.

I do carry a bunch of reeds, rocks seem to run out with building.
Also, you really should consider using the sleeping bag, it's really hard to see in the late evening and night. We can't really see what you are doing.
