thanks me too! Can't say it was exactly safe the way I got it back but I managed. Anchors are friggin expensive.

Yeah it was a busy day for sure. There were a bunch of little fish too that didn't make the video that kept the action going. And thanks! It wasn't huge but that was way cool catching my first striper out of there.

Thank you! I actually took my time with those fish that day and put the rods back in the rod holders to fix my net and take care of my rods. Did you ever get down there with your buddy? If you did hopefully you got into em!

Yeah that was a great day! There was definitely a lot of down time in between the fish that you don't see, but it was a great trip and when I finally found the blues it was a blast.

Awesome video man nice 40 pounder the striper was a nice surprise catch too. Thanks for the info on the Susquehanna bite I'll probably just wait til spring to make it back down personally I'm hoping for a cold front so I can get back on the ice

thanks yeah they made my day for sure! And no problem, it's a long drive to go and catch nothing. Hope you can get back on the ice, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want this warm snap to keep going for a little while longer.

haha thanks, not sure about that though. I just have some really badass rivers to fish near me and I get out a lot. But there's a lot of trips that don't make KZread...like pretty much the whole summer last year.

Great video. We’re you catching most of the fish in the afternoon in 20 ft with smaller chunks? I am down fishing the James, been very slow

Hey man sorry I didn't get to this comment till now, wish I could have helped. But yeah that's about when and where I was catching them that day. These videos are usually at least a week after the trip, some times more so conditions may have changed by then. I was just on the Potomac yesterday though and I was finding my fish mostly from 30-40ft with a few in the 20 ft range. From what I've heard, people do really well in the shallows on the James but I really don't know much about it. Only fished it once so far. Good luck hopefully you found the big ones!

Hey thanks for stopping by the channel and checking it out! I use 3 Piscifun Chaos 60 reels (which I absolutely love), 2 Abu C3 6500s which are very durable and smooth, and then a Catmaxx. I use 30lb Berkley Big Game line and so far it's never let me down even on some of the hogs I've been fortunate enough to catch. Those Piscifun 60 reels are beasts for the money, they hold a ton of line too. No issues yet in 2 full years of abuse.

I really enjoy all your videos but man I wish you focused on the little details of teaching more.... Water temp, depth, how youre setting up on the ledges vs the current, what you change when you move, not spots specifically, what you did or why to specifically catch your fish....

Hey man thanks, I always like hearing tips like that. I will try to focus more on that when I'm out there. I just usually forget to film until there's a fish on the line which isn't the best thing as someone trying to make KZread videos. I have another one lined up to come out, but hopefully moving forward I'll give more info on how and what I'm fishing over. I took a picture of your comment to help remember.

Yeah they're pretty great. I had one and loved it, wish I didn't try anchoring where I did and lost it. But I ended up getting my anchor back that trip so I'll limp that along till I loose it for good.
