I Just Wondered If We Could Get Your Details So We Know Who Has Flown The Drone Over? 🎥🛸🤭❌

Today we take a look at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Bruntingthorpe, Lutterworth LE17 5QS.
We have a chat with JLR Handover gatehouse security who calls the security supervisor.
Supervisor is a viewer so gets a keyring and asks us to continue from the public road outside.
We take the drone over and then have a final chat with security who are on the phone to the police.
Enjoy!

Just following orders, he has to be seen to take safety seriously and if they have a policy of calling the police when drones are flying over then he won't want to be seen by his boss on youtube not taking things seriously - he has a livelihood to think about. Not worth risking it. He obviously knew DJ and enjoys the channel but his job is number 1 priority.

Should have taken the key rings back, far too sneaky. "everything's ok sir, no problem" but still called the police and lied to you to get your operators i.d. Also saying he could see your line of sight while being miles away and facing the opposite direction than you but "don't wanna argue about it" when you disagreed with him. One minute telling you a tiny drone with the weight of a few feathers is a concern about the fuel tanks, but previously he's on about planes and helicopters that "come in extremely low" Wouldn't they be a bigger concern, and why no flight restriction ?????? I reckon there's about 140-150 UK auditors. Of those , many are inactive, either disillusioned, given up, ill, or in prison. A couple are "bound over" or have bail conditions preventing them auditing. Some cannot be called proper auditors, and some don't want to be called auditors. That leaves approx 80-100 active (ie audited or posted in last 3 months) posting on here. Its hardly a global phenomenon.... Considering auditing has been here solidly for 5 years (longer I know but few auditors) that would make an intake of 30 per year. When you put that against an average of 45 people get struck by lightning each year in the UK, it puts it in perspective. Ninety five percent of the public would describe an auditor as a man with a briefcase that checks companies by scaring their accountants.

Can you see through the trees? It's the size of a small bird 120m up and at least 100m away. Good for you then, when I fly my drone I lose sight at 40m. straight up. Sun and sky color blue to dark grey. DJI minis are not hi viz. I thought of using streamers or big balloons attached to the drone. Any thoughts?

I used to work in that area in waste management and dropped in there one day to ask what they did as I frequently saw drivers holding the reg plates standing outside, waiting for a lift. This was a few years ago and they were very friendly and drove me around the runways and then took me to one of the hangers where a Vulcan bomber was being restored, which was a wonderful moment. After that I would give the drivers a lift to a railway station, as they were dropping vehicles off to be stored until required.

I find it amazing when the people featured in audits turn aggressive or behave outside the law, they must know that members of the public see their faces and sometimes get their names. I have a good memory for faces and remembering where I have seen them as do many people. last week I recognised a aggressive person who featured in one of the videos done by one of my local auditors in the north east. I just had to let the guy know exactly what I thought of him, and he didn’t like it! 🤔😂 intelligent people know that if your being filmed you don’t act like an idiot as you will be judged by the viewers.

He's right about short notice arrivals. Airfields these are always useful for Mil helis as they're obviously less likely to encounter the general public there. There are usually long-standing agreements to use the airfield with nothing more than a short-notice telephone or radio call and, sometimes, not even that. It's more of an awareness issue as a Drone operator that you're more likely to encounter other aircraft even though not an active airfield with an ATZ.
