Matt I'm thinking maybe this Lieberfriend is just very introverted. That combined with the fear you described might very well be the cause. Understanding the energy budget reserved for occupying the same space with other people helps a lot, and it helps with the fear as well.

In my experience, when I am alone I am who people would rather me be, energetic, happier, and more of a leader. But in a group of my friends (with two exceptions) I tend to close up. I have always found this odd and this last year I have made good progress in adjusting to who I really am.

I started watching these videos recently and I want to say that I love how your advice doesn't always assume that the person asking is in the right. A lot of the time I find that people who give advice on youtube don't call people out when it's necessary. So I find it refreshing that you do that when it's needed. :)
