Hips and leg issues are very common in German Shepherds. My dog had it as well and it’s so sad. Blessings to Leroy.

Man...its so crazy to think that I've been watching your channel since you first started fostering Dash (and before that as well 😆). Dash is such a lil nugget. He's got a special place in my heart! All the doggos are wonderful. Give them all a big hug for me 🫶

Having to figure out if their new daily ailment or issue is cause for an immediate vet visit or a one-off random senior dog thing is so much on your heart and mind every day. I relate to everything you’re saying about wanting more time with these babies who got to us so late in life. You are an incredible dogmama and person and Im sending you and your pack all my love. ❤

Derpy Dashie!!! Makes me smile ❤❤ and it is so precious how much Leroy trusts you and needs you. You're the best dog mom ever. Don't feel bad about doing your job to take care of the pups! You have to put on your own oxygen mask in order to help the dogs put theirs on. There's nothing you can do if you're "passed out". You're doing great Tash! ❤ I watch every single video no matter what.

I relate to the feeling guilty when leaving my dog to go to work. Dog mom guilt is real. We will never feel as though there is enough time. You are doing great!

Honestly, a good groomer is so helpful, he goes twice a year though only because she’s 2 hours and he’s reactive. In between grooms, brushing and a long wire brush is what works best for him. I swear I don’t have any secrets! ITS HARD. We just do our best!!!

None of us will ever be able to dedicate the time to them that we want and they deserve, and it’s so hard. That being said, you go above and beyond anyone I know to care for these angels. You can see how they adore you and TRUST you. You’re doing amazing, and they are living a wonderful life thanks to you and Michael. 💜

We have one already! His rescue gave it to us, they are amazing! Right now it's easier for us to support the legs because they're still moving and do offer a little support and ease on his front end, but yes! We will use it when they give out entirely as he is still a happy dog. We are just worried about the front end now too.. :(

I know exactly what you mean about feeling guilty while working or doing something other than taking care of the pups but you ARE taking care of them in a big big way while filming the collab, you are paying for their vet bill which is keeping them alive and healthy. They probably didn’t even realize much time had passed while you were working to give them a good life. Don’t be so hard on yourself when you give them every part of you!!! 💞💞

❤ You have such a calming affect towards your dogs and your home is so open, bright & zen. I couldn't imagine a more loving & nurturing environment to meet your wonderful dog needs. Just keep ploughing through. You 2 are everything they could wish for. Ps, you've been looking your best lately and also have you ever had cats 🐈?

I understand the guilt, I’ve taken a career pivot and I’ve gone back to university. I used to have more time for my dogs, but I had less money to give them. I literally am doing more to give them more. But the guilt is killer. :( Love to Leroy, it’s so hard seeing them get older.

I think maybe reevaluating on what you can take on mentally with so many dogs. I’m a dog lover and rescued both my dogs but there’s a point where you have to stop stretching yourself so thin and think about your mental health and life. I get that you want to help and rescue but it shouldn’t be your whole purpose. You’re just one person.

I disagree with the “it shouldn’t be your whole purpose” note, but Michael and I have agreed to revert back to 5 and not surpass that number again. We were both comfortable there and we recognize that. But also - this is my purpose. It’s hard because I love with my whole heart, but it doesn’t mean for a second I would wish for things to be different. This is hard work on the heart, but I hope I can help as many dogs as possible before I die.
