If I ever see this man in oerson, God himself might have to come down to hold me back cz I WILL run into his arms. Everything about him is so unique and charming - the way he sings, the way he moves, his effortless vibe, just wow! I've never seen anyone like him in a long long time. No wonder he has made it so big. His music is laced with coke for sure.

I met a Japanese guy on a meetup app a while ago. We chatted and talked about our favorite type of music. He recommended Fujii Kaze's Matsuri to me. I checked it out and I was immediately hooked! I even bought his most recent album. I'd also recommend Kirari, Damn, Seishun Sick, Hedemo Ne-Yo (which has two versions), and Mo-Eh-Yo.

You got it in one, mate, especially when it comes to the vocals and how his style is more subtle and not the sort to overtly impress (but it sinks in real deep once it registers). Like, dude's got chops but he doesn't use them unless they're called for, which usually happens during live performances when he improvs, something that you'll likely notice in the live perf of Matsuri that you said you're going to do next. What I love about his music is that it's sophisticated yet accessible, old and new at the same time. Also, everything about him, both audio and visual, just looks, feels and sounds natural and organic. He's so subtle and non-pushy, from his music to his lyrics right down to the way he is introduced/marketed to the world. Like Shinunoga went viral but that wasn't his or his label's doing. The phenomenon just happened like it was meant to. Lol. Anyway, thanks to all that quiet subtlety, I only managed to find and get on board his gently sailing boat almost three years after he first debuted. But I'm thankful that I found it at all. I guess people will find him if and when they're meant to find him. And I love that. You've got depth in your perspective, hon. Which I noticed that some have and some don't. Thankfully there have been more of the former than the latter. Really looking forward to seeing more of your reactions to this artiste's works. I just found out about the guy late last year and I already got his entire discography emblazoned into my brain. This has literally never happened before in all my years of living, even for artistes that I really like and have followed for a long time. 😅

Just to let you know, Fujii Kaze owns his own music and production studio. He has no problems with reactors. Welcomes them actually. They spread his music around.

The hand movements he is doing are very typical of Japanese festival dancing. Something about the intro around 2:45 is giving me Big Poppa vibes. Maybe that's why you felt like 90s RandB/ HIpHop? Random... Every time I see this video, I am like How do I not know anybody in it? Not that you can count the diverse-looking people in Japan, but usually there is someons in my network.
