You gotta try out the Blenheim Mk 1 with the paratroopers. It seems like it’d be a great strategic bomber but I think the paratrooper spec breaks the spawning on the plane.

@@RedShocktrooperRST no he meant there are more bullets per second so you have to give more lead. The extra bullets cause more drag so you have to push them further ahead. Its complicated.

Every patch, some gun becomes the new op, in like 1.57-1.6x they were THE guns to play. 3 hits and dead, can never get use to the bs flight mechanics in BF V

In the game you can easily use it's slow speed to your advantage by making fighters overshoot. Got loads of clips doing it. In a head to head cannons rip quicker too

Mosquito was a Unique plane in WW2 being made out of plywood and not Aluminium made it extremely fast which doesnt really get conveyed in BF5. hopefully we get some of the really iconic planes of WW2 like the FW190 and the Beaufighter

AA can already be shot clear across most maps as well as being movable, they dont need a buff. I think theyre getting buffed against bombers which i think may be an over reaction unless they nerf the AAs range.

Planes already have to rearm after every load. And fighters aren't that good against fighting ground targets anyways. Imo AA doesn't need a change.

People arent used to playing against aircrafts and they are horrible at dogfighting. Even in past titles, AA was strong but smart play can avoid the strengths of AA while outputting their own presence and value.

"The main cannon" should be 4 x .303 Browning machine guns (yes they are standard rifle caliber bullets, but LOTS of them) The "hisp cannons" you are referring to are in fact the 20mm Hispano-Suiza HS.404 cannon - "20mm Hispano" to the Brits. It was capable 700 rounds per minute which is 11 rounds per second. For those of you who think that it was mad for the RAF to use the .303 caliber Browning machine guns on aircraft, I put this to you... The Spitfire had 8 of them... The Browning .303 aerial machine gun had a fire rate of 1,150 rounds per minute... That's 19 rounds per second... So, if a Spitfire got behind you and gave you a 2-second burst, that's 304 rounds of .303 hitting you. The Mosquito carried 4 .303 Browning aerial machine guns and a 2-second burst would result in 152 rounds being fired... When you add the 4 20mm Hispano cannons to the mix, like in the Mosquito FB MKVI, you had the ability to send a total of 240 rounds (152 .303 and 88 rounds of 20mm) down range. Packing an absolutely devastating punch! Some Spitfire variants would run 6 .303 Brownings and 2 20mm Hispano's, resulting in 272 rounds (228 .303 rounds and 44 20mm rounds) being fired. When compared to a P51D Mustang and its 6 Browning AN/M2 .50cal machine guns - 132 round being fired in a 2 -second burst. You can see that the RAF aircraft were able to absolutely mince armor and turn it to confetti. That being said, the P51 and its six .50cal still packed one hell of a punch, however, pilots had to ensure they were good at aiming when it came to fighting small targets (fighters) in order to maximize their hits.

The .303 with AP rounds can pen at best 9mm of steel and normally people but the best aces didn't use AP because it took them too much time to rip a plane apart. Ball, Inc. and HE .303 can pen only 3mm of steel. The Hispano here is the long-barrelled Mk 2 which can only fire at 600 RPM. The short-barrelled Mk 5 is the one that fires at 750 RPM. Spitfires' B-type wings can carry only 4 .303 machine guns not 6 along with the 2 20mm autocannons. .50 cal on the other hand can pen up to an inch and a half of steel with AP bullets and an inch with other bullets.

.303s were almost useless in air to air combat, no matter how many you had. Rifle caliber rounds with no explosive filler and minimal armor penetration are practically worthless in taking down enemy aircraft. If you look at armament trends from the beginning of the war towards the end, almost no aircraft were still using .303, whereas almost all aircraft in the beginning were. The .50 cals on American aircraft were a lot more effective, as they were larger and can actually punch through armor plates, structural components, and engine blocks, as well as being better at setting things on fire, and their ballistics were also far superior to any .30 cals used during the war. 20 mm cannons were even better because their shells were large enough to carry explosive filler, which could do tremendous damage to aircraft (especially small fighters), and also because the larger shells could simply do more damage to an aircraft with a single strike. That said, the tradeoff for using 20 mm guns was usually less ammo and worse ballistics when compared to .50 cals, but you could take out aircraft with far fewer hits (.50 cals were still pretty nasty though). When you did your calculations for the rounds per second each gun fires, that's good, but that's only part of the bigger picture. Ultimately what matters is how much mass you can sling at an enemy aircraft in a given time, and when you look at the mass that even 8 or 10 .303s sling against how much 6 .50 cals or 4 20 mm guns can throw, you'll see that the .303s don't stack up at all.

At first, the mosquito was so fast as a bomber it didn't need any defensive armament because it could just outpace fw 190s and bf109s

Actually the fastest killing airplane gun is the Waffenbehalter turret of the ju88. Its instakill . Try it out. Spitfire is dead under 1 second and if you learn to shoot without using the "bombing" aiming you are pretty much the best anti air vehicle

After watching your first mosquito vid I instantly fell in love with the bomber and just went for the 20mm Hispanos right away. In my opinion that's the only weapon that can obliterate a Junkers in a matter of seconds lol

The cannon manufacturer is Hispano, and those cannons are therefore 20mm Hispano cannons which is why they were abbreviated "HSP"

HISP is an abbreviation of HISPANO. It's an autocannon, which means it fires high explosive rounds, hence the splash damage against infantry.

Bf4 is competitive? Is that because it's dead and the only people who play it are those who take it extremely seriously? Not saying bf4 is bad, but I can't think of any other way bf4 could be competitive. Or is that just how stoned you are? To introduce yourself casually as "A bf4 pro", as well. Those with little knowledge and experience on a topic believe themselves to have much. Those with much, believe themselves to have little.

Hey Nick, is it possible that you make a step by step tutorial for flying in BF5? You are a very skilled pilot, and I don't even really get how to get this thing under control :/ The game is so unforgiving with flying so it's really hard to learn... If you could do a tutorial on settings, how to actually fly and have the control over the plane all the time without crashing, how to chase enemies and how to lose them on your tail and stuff like that? Just EVERYTHING you could possibly teach us what you know about flying in general and especially in BF5.

What I like to do is open up with the rapid fire MGs (7.92mm German and .308 British) from long range and then, once I close in, I rip them apart with 20mm cannons. It's a really devastating combo for maximizing your damage.

Things war thunder, call of duty, battlefield, have in common: Tanks. Ships. Helicopters. Submarines. AAA. Custom missions (except for battlefield) Campaigns. Explosions. Bombs getting dropped. War. War thunder and Battlefield, including call of duty all have different eras in different times of war, EX: call of duty 2

What are you using for control of the planes? Is it a mouse? I can't seem to get my flight anywhere near as smooth as yours...

The Hispano cannons are 20mm and were used against planes in WW2 on planes like the Spitfire and Mosquito even though the Mosquito was mainly used for bombing in WW2. Btw the 20mms were very popular on planes in WW2 and if you get to fly sims you get used to the slow trajectory.

Jonas Koch “Mosquito was mainly a bomber” No. Mk1, and Mk2, maybe, but onwards it was designed as a multi-role swing role fighter bomber/attacker, and in photo reconnaissance. I believe only 35% of production models were only bombers.

Hey man what keu bindings are you using for flying the planes in bfv?

they are 20mm Hispano auto cannons. historically the DeHavilland Mosquito was a beast. it was made of canvas and plywood so /he rounds went all the way through and out the other side without exploding and it was laughably faster than everything else in the sky that wanted to hurt it until the introduction of jet aircraft and the Me262 Schwalbe.

So you went with the heavy Mosquito. If you instead go with the right side for the last two you get one of the best dogfighters in the game, though you lose out on being able to melt aircraft quite so quickly and to soften armor with MGs before dropping your bombs, you instead get significantly more maneuverability and heavy hitting guns that can shred bombers without needing nearly as much leading.

Can you please do a video comparing all the planes. Plus, what routes you took upgrading it and why!

May I recommend that you try the Blenheim MK IF with the bottom gunner upgrade? That gunner will be able to fire in all directions (except upwards of course) and it will completely destroy planes and infantry on the ground. You will however need a friend to man the gun. By the way, there is a bug that prevents spawning inside the Blenheim as a passenger so I recommend you fly low and let someone hop in. You will not regret trying it out, my friend and I hunt down planes, infantry even tanks (with 4x 250).

I was actually flying a bomber today getting absolutely destroyed vs a mosquito. Now, I see why!

20 mm hispano is shooting a high velocity amour piercing round in some cases explosive rounds still one of the mosquito¨s had a 57 mil cannon it was used as a tank hunter and i would love to see that as an option in bfv

there was a variant that had a massive big gun on the front and it was so powerful it slowed the plane down with the when it fired. It was used for Anti -Tank, Anti-ship, Anti-everthing...~Trooper

hey man, tips to level up the mosquito/stuka quickly? I seem to be having a difficult time on console because I keep getting swarmed by fighters and unable to actually perform strafes. my bf109 and my spitfire as well as one of my Blenheims and my ju-88 are maxed out, but I can't seem to win any dogfights in the "dive bombers" (I call them hybrids)

If you ever fancy making some cheeky tutorial/guides that would be pretty sick

Hey Nicc, you should do a video demoing the Waffenbehalter upgrade on the JU-88, since the plane nerf I’ve been debating upgrading it to try it and haven’t seen any videos on it yet!

It's pretty useful for killing manned flak turrets. I prefer it over 1000 kg bomb. I almost shredded apart a Mosquito with it.

Nic make a best setting for BFV plane control, i feel like it's kinda different from BF1. Especially in turning and rotating the plane in third person

Niccaman the top row of guns are the faster firing machine gun calibre 7.7mm I believe, and the bottom 4 guns are 20mm cannons with explosive rounds.

question, are you flying with M+K or a controller? I want to get good at flying but it seems like such a pain to do on the keyboard

What control scheme are you using? Joystick or mouse? I'm currently using a joystick, but am trying to figure out a method to freelook easily. Have a t16000m currently.
