Hi :) We are proud to be part of this great group and, most importantly for us, our caps are often described and complimented there. Besides the common theme of Scally caps, newsboys and general good style headwear, this group stands out for something else - it is very friendly and there is a really great atmosphere. This is really a nice exception in modern times.

Great vid. I wear a Scally about 90% of the time. I work in an office, so part of the reason is it reminds me of when I was much younger, working in our family business. My former life required a lot of physical work, so wearing a working man's hat helps keep me grounded somewhat. And my wife liking them helps also. ☺

I’m really glad you like it! I had to record the heritage section again because after announcing it in the group, I didn’t think I did it justice. I didn’t explain the differences between flat cap, newsboy, etc. but I hope anyone from the group that watches approves. 😆

I love Boston Scally Co! Just got my 3rd cap (so far) and I love it. I really like your scally cap and I may get it next! Nice video!

Love that you took the time to comment. I realized my head size is between sizes and it was the wrong idea to go with the larger one. I’m already looking. I’m interested in the Zephr from Swisher Apparel for summer. Funds don’t permit buying a lot, but the collection will surely grow!

Started with the Worker BSC scally cap and now up to 12 caps. I mainly got them cause love the look and they make them in my size of melon XXXL

BSC is one of few places I can find for my Size 8 | 64-65cm head also. I have a few, and all of them fit nicely. Some are a little looser, but they still work for me.

@Jaymze13 I’m between sizes. I got the larger of the two. After a few weeks, it loosened too much. I still love it, but it slides when I touch it or lean over. Guess I’m gonna buy more. 😆

I was looking at the zephr from Swisher apparel. Being mostly made of bamboo, not sure if you could soak and squeeze as easy as that. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think you can wear a new era cap with everything short of an actual suit.

What do you mean by new era cap? If you’re referring to modern day scallies, I probably would try them with a suit. 😆 might not pull it off, but wouldn’t stop me from trying.

😆 I don’t know. Why are you watching an unboxing video of a hat? Scally caps have a heritage and image. They may appear old fashioned, Irish, or in my area, “what old men wear”. I wanted to capture my wife’s honest opinion and hoped she would like it. I shared the experience with you.

I follow many in the filmmaking niche. Many times they ramble about a product I’ll never buy or camera basics I already know. I wish they would just vlog and share more of themselves, because that’s why I’m actually watching. This may not be a cinematic masterpiece, but I take your comment as a compliment. Thank you!
