Everyone who dashes should have a pizza bag regardless. Not just for customer orders, but for when you get yourself pizza! I use all my DD bags both on and off duty all the time!

All the pizza places have lost MOST of their delivery drivers..So who comes to the rescue? DOORDASH 😂😂😂

I just quit delivering pizza to do doordash. I make more money, can choose orders, and don't have to stand in the store washing dishes for $5/hr all day. Fast food owners need to pay their employees and quit relying on child labor. Most of them are staffed by 16 year olds. I don't know who else can afford to live off $8/hr.

I've just got accepted into the pizza program, let me first to tell you, if you're dashing by a major university, the orders are really good!!! Today I made 250 in 8.5 hours, 80% pizza orders.

Which is why I rarely take them. Tips are never great, I assume because the store took several dollars before dispatching. They can also choose which orders to dispatch and when. They've told me the one I'm there for still has 10 minutes but 2, going the same direction are ready. Then he sent those orders to me. Talk about obligated to take those 2 orders...

I was wondering why my Papa Johns orders were always so low.

One day I went to pick up at pizza hut, the cashier asked if I had a pizza bag I said no . They went to the back and gave me a door dash pizza bag for free. He said door dash said to give this too you . I was like .. ok I still enrolled in the pizza program the way you did tho.

Yeah without signing up you can still get pizza orders because even before I signed up I’d get them. Once I signed up I saw a huge jump in the amount I was getting tho😂

Same here! I get pizza orders and was never asked if I have a bag. But I plan on asking at one if the pizza joints next time I get an order to see if they'll give it to me free. If not I'll just buy one

The Round Tables here in Sacramento was taking them. This young girl working hard was like congratulations on the nice tips as it was a stack so I thought to myself that’s cool. I completed the orders and got no tips and was like wtf and later found out her store kept them and I hope she ended up with the money.

Their drivers are quitting in mass. Manager at Papa John's told me how much they make because they were hiring. I laughed and told him to put my order in the bag. Told him good luck.

I can relate to this. I dash in the same are as you (I've seen you a few times) and I've been getting insane amounts of pizza orders. Although whenever I get one for Pizzeria Limone I almost always get an offer for the Habit Burger Grill right next to it.

Hey bro I know why The orders for Papa John's on DoorDash suck. I work at a Papa John's and when we get busy and we're understaffed the managers will take the further orders and push them through to door dash. The managers can see the tips on their and they save the good tips for us drivers. I'm not even kidding you I was shocked when I found this out as I got this job because I went in on a door dash and asked them if they needed delivery drivers and I was hired almost immediately.

In my market, Papa John’s has a $5.99 delivery fee. That might have something to do with a lack of tips on those orders.

Hey Blake,,I bought 2 of the 26.00 bags,,they’re alot better than the free one’s pizza shops give out,,they’re not very big but well insulated…When I bought mine,,it said if u purchase one thru DD u don’t have to sign up,,you’re automatically n there. But n the evenings,,I get ALL pizza deliveries!! That’s where I make most of my money…One day out of 13 deliveries,,they were ALL pizza except for the first 3 I ran that day!! The catering bag helps a lot too!! Sorry I commented before watching the whole video,,just wanted to tell u to WATCH the Papa John’s orders!! I’ve seen a few videos about them taking the driver’s tips!! Not the one n MY market,,thank goodness!! Our Papa John’s is good with the tips..I think out of all of the offers I’ve had,,I can only remember ONE that didn’t have a decent tip on it…No Tip No Trip!!!

i got 2 free pizza bags from papa johns. 1st time the employee/manager (i guess idk her rank) just asked me if i had one already and when i said no, she gave me one. 2nd time, i had a stack order so i asked her for a 2nd bag to keep the orders separate. they are thin like the typical DD bags. i think the ones you pay for online are much thicker

If I signed up and got an avalanche of $3.25 Little Caesar’s orders I’d quit altogether. I decline about fifteen a a day without being on the pizza boy program. They swarm like mosquitos some days.

Sometimes I’ve felt like the only dasher with a pizza bag in the city. I’ve been in prime areas at peak times and been given offers to drive 3mi to a Papa John’s for a $5 order.

I'm on the pizza program and don't get more pizza orders than when I wasn't. Most of the time when it specifies pizza bags and must take pictures of pizza bags, there isn't even a pizza in the order.

Nice video! I got a few free pizza bag delivering for Pizza Hut. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to keep them or give them to the customer since they taped the receipt to the bag!

I did 2 orders for the same person and the distance was 1 mile away . The base fee was 3 $ but I got a 55$ tip .I delivered 30 pizzas though 😅

I had the same experience of having an avalanche of pizza orders after I was approved into the pizza program. They were almost all from Papa John's. I asked the PJ manager and he said he didn't have a regular employee driver on shift that night so they were turfing all orders to DD. I know a lot of people hate PJs but I find over half of the PJ offers I get have good tips.

I have a Papa Johns in the area I work. In the intersection where they are, is about 35 different restaurants. Papa Johns is consistently one of the best ones to pickup from. Almost always ready when you get there and if I do have to wait, it’s like 2 minutes and that’s it. And they are an insanely busy location. Then I also have Burger King and Wendy’s across the street that get overwhelmed with 2 cars in the drive thru. Wendy’s especially. I can go there during breakfast, be the only car in drive thru, inside is closed and be picking up a single value meal, be pulled forward and wait 15 minutes for them to bring out the order. It’s why I never go there anymore

I think ppl don't like Papa John's cause it's pricer hence the bigger tips.

I feel they made the pizza program cause people genuinely dont like to pick up pizzas.

Ah, my local Pizza Hut gave me a DoorDash branded pizza bag for free last time I got pulled on a regular dash there, but I imagine in larger markets YMMV. I'm not sure I like pizza that much though, aside from MOD...and in my region there's more traffic from MOD on a DD competitor. But then again, more decent options for money is better than none. Postmate gave me a bag. At first I thought it was a mistake and tried to give the bag back to them but they said it was mine so I said ok.

I’ve definitely gotta try this pizza order there’s a lot of different pizza place near me with DoorDash. Sadly this week is slow af with spring break and people out of town😫🤦‍♂️

I haven't been motified about this in my area yet here in Ct. But they did notify me about catering orders and I had to buy Doordashe's catering bag whitch was $39 bucks or if I send them a picture of a catering bag of sort. In witch I haven't done yet. Have you been notified about catering orders or more like larger than normal orders and you had to have your own catering bag or theirs alike?

Papa johns has their own drivers in my market.

I'm brand new almost a week into dashing. I don't have a bag yet and haven't ordered one but they have been giving me pizza deliveries. *_Lots of problems though with bad information. Wrong addresses, getting to the restaurant and being told they don't have that order and getting to a restaurant and finding out the order was just cancelled._* I have top dasher status, why I have no idea but tomorrow is another day. *_If there wasn't so many problems I think my day would end up pretty good instead of going from an avg of $23.00 for the first hour to averaging $13.00 at the end of a 4 hour dash !!!_*

So is there a way you can change the orders like one day for all pizza order and next day all orders including pizza

I signed up and uploaded pictures of my pizza bag I got off of Amazon that is way bigger and cheaper than door dash and I barely get big pizza orders. When I do get pizza orders they always want me to send another picture of my bag after I get to the pizza place. It’s annoying

I get so many Little Caesars orders. It's completely fine to pick them up from 12 pm - 5 pm otherwise the wait gets super long for them.

Moore I just have a question what is the slowest days of the Tuesday or Wednesday let me know what do you think?

I worked at roundtable and all good tip orders we get from doordash our drivers take these orders and all non tip orders we put in for dashers to pick up yes its messed up but just letting you guys know and im sure other pizza chains do it

Not where I live thankfully, but that’s honestly messed up and disgusting. You shouldn’t count on doordashers to deliver your pizza if you expect them to drive a far distance for no tip. Tbh, no tips orders are just disrespectful and nobody should be delivering them.

Dude I have a question.. so I like working 5 to 10pm, my favorite places to get orders from in my area are BJs, Olive Garden, Red Robin and farmer boys, if I sign up for DoorDash Pizza it wouldn’t lessen my chances of getting my favorite restaurants would it? Do you have a percentage of how many normal orders you get to every pizza order?

In my city all of the Papa John's orders that I received are customers that ordered through Papa John's they give us crap they don't want to deliver.

I got my doordash pizza bag for free brand new from papa johns. I just asked for it when I went to pick up an order

If we take a picture of our pizza bag but it isn’t the four dash one it’s a huge pizza bag that can carry up to 3 pizzas at once, DoorDash should allow that no problem right?

Little Caesars 75% of the time are fucking up or behind, and they seem to be the majority of the orders I get with pizza not being on the program. It seems like the lowest tippers are Little Caesars too. This is why I've been leery of the pizza program because majority wise it's Little Caesars. *Pro tip: I got door dash pizza bags from Papa Johns, they gave me a bunch on New Years Day because I had a big order. But I saw they had some a week ago at another Papa Johns, just ask and see if they'll give you some.

The pizza orders I get are usually crap, such as Little Caesars, delivering 5 pizzas five miles away for $3.25. No thanks, most other places aren't much different plus sometimes long wait times. Not worth taking a chance, to me. But I did the same thing only with Door dash's grocery shopping service, and now every other order I get is to Safeway to shop.

I live and dash full time in Albuquerque. In the day time and before dark, grubhub orders downtown on central are really good actually. This last week has been really bad. However I dash on the Westside, Taylor Ranch to Rio Rancho. I don't typically head to the heights unless a really good order takes me there. Dashing off Paseo is good too. Lots of restaurants and grocery from Paseo and i25 all the way up to Tramway.

Usually a few days, but I didn’t see a difference in orders until about a week or 2

I've noticed that "Pizza" orders can mean Chicken Sandwich w/ Fries and Breadsticks. But still, take a picture of your Pizza Bag.

Newbie here (been "dashing" less than 3 weeks). I didn't know about the pizza program, thanks for sharing. I did get a Little Cesar's order my first week, though, but none since. I don't think a lot of people in my area know Doordash is available, so maybe I'll sign up just to increase the amount of deliveries offered to me. (Usually in a two- hour window during our "busy" times, I get 1 - 3 deliveries.) QUESTION: What is your thought on using a Doordash magnet or logo on the car?

I bought one a long time ago when they offered the catering bag really cheap. Now, when I accept an order from Little Ceasars, it asks for a puc of the bag.. then that's all I get. I really miss the big orders from the local sushi places. 🍣

Papa Johns takes the order on their app and then they send it to doordash. I think they keep the better order for their own drivers. I got a ton of pizza orders before the program. Then it started and it died out. I went and signed up and they are flowing again. I have delivered as many as 15 pizzas at once.

That (tip theft) would happen only if the customer had ordered through Papa Johns website, and then Doordash was employed as a third-party delivery agent. I can’t really say if Papa John’s has a shortage of their own drivers, and might subcontract in a pinch to Doordash, but most, if not all, restaurant chains that sends orders from their website to DoorDash, steal the tips customers intended for drivers. Whether it’s Outback, or Chipotle. If you see a merchant generated order (no items shown on pickup confirmation), they (corporate) have most likely absconded with any tip. DoorDash itself used to do a form of this: misapply some of customer tips meant for dashers to the base pay. DoorDash settled a court. case in DC, and a case in Chicago is ongoing. Since item counts have been removed from offers , as part of the same strategy that inspired hidden tips (cherry pickers), there isn’t much in the way of clues to suggest a hidden tip

Hi Blackmore you make a great content. I have a question for you:) I have been a dedicated dasher with large order program and pizza program since long with 4.99 ratings and thousands of deliveries. Before a while ago due to glitch in the app it didn't recognize my pizza bag(verified by doordash and did 4000 deliveries with the same) when I took a picture in the app. After not recognizing twice they stopped sending me pizza orders completely!! For no reason So disappointed. I asked for help and reached out premium support but look like they don't know much either and says my account is up to date with no issue ! What do you say?

It seemed like our pizza orders declined after buying a bag and signing up. The bag has finally paid for itself, but for my area I definitely did not see any extra benefits.

I was given a pizza bag by a merchant, joined the program, then got kicked off because I forgot my bag one day, a stacked order required it, and since it was stacked it didn’t tell me I needed it, so I took it unknowingly and when I told them I didn’t have it, they kicked me outta the program. Tbh tho I could rejoin but it wasn’t really worth it in my market as a lot of the pizza places have long wait times so I just haven’t reregisteted lol

Pizza orders always take longer because you have to bake it :D Sucks sometimes when your order is up and you get a stacked order for the same place and the first customer gets to wait the 15-25 min cook time (depending on the restaurant)

I signed up too and never got a notification not sure if it worked. I have been out since then and no pizza orders... Also, my market has plenty of pizza places so I should be getting some.

Unlike some of the other Pizza places - Papa Johns in many areas will remove the tips - since they come in on their website and then get farmed out to DD - so the restaurant will keep the tip when they forward the order to DD instead of including the tip ( depending on the store manager/staff they keep the tip completely or only include part of the tip ) Which is probably why you get so many from there that are no tip !

@@aleisefloyd4710 I haven't gotten it yet, but you need everything else that makes you top dasher except 70% acceptance rate. I've gotten catering orders without the program tho. High payouts. They just ask for a catering bag.

One can tax deduct bag and more miles than you think and other deductions. I think me and my husband will try the delivery world as we are retired and need extra money sometimes as we don't spend our savings. 👍🍕

i had a pizza delievery request i dont remember if it was dash or ubereats, anyways the manager asked if i had a pizza bag and i said no and he just gave me a doordash pizza bag to keep.

I'm good with pizza program, less order to decline. I hate wait time at some pizza place, esp during game night.

The papa johns orders I get all day they are store requested. I did one order that was on the lower side of $1 per mile hoping for a cash or hidden tip…nope…😟

Pizza takes a minimum of 10 to 15 minutes to make and cook, if they are busy or short staffed then multiply that exponentially. (20 year Pizza maker)

I never signed up for anything but everytime I take a pizza order the first of the day ask for a picture. They brag how they pay so well but most pizza orders are $3.00. The pizza places are stealing the tips.

I think I’ll give it a try Papa Gino’s gave me a free DoorDash bag so I have no reason not to try it.

Do you deliver in dangerous neighborhoods? Does Door Dash even service those kinds of areas?

I heard recently especially in my area that Papa John’s drivers cherry pick orders and send the rest to DoorDash. I can’t attest to how true that is but seems legit since most Papa John’s orders I get are trash. I used to get good ones from there but I probably haven’t delivered one of their orders in over a month even though I get tons sent to me. Most are between $2 to $5. I don’t take anything less than $5 ever even if it’s a stack.

It's true I work as a driver for a Papa John's. The managers will send the longer deliveries out to door dash especially if they have crappy tips this keeps us able to maintain a 35 to 45 minute delivery time by not having to go to the edge of our delivery area. The managers can see the tips and if there is a 14 or a $15 tip they will not send that out they will give it to one of us.

Even without pizza program I still get pizza order once in awhile but don’t like the longer waits so wouldn’t want pizza orders all the time

Hi do you do catering orders?

This just started happening to me, too. Exept Papa John's pays way better and I decline almost every single Little Caesar's order.

In Canada, Doordash FORCES you to do pizza delivery. You get a pizza order, go pick it up, then AFTER you click picked up, BAM you are prompted to take a photo of your pizza bag and submit via the app to Doordash. Also, most pizza delivery orders are low pay, no tip and there are so many of them you are always way below acceptance rate.

We get that here in the States too. They ask for a photo each time. But you can still dash without one since several times they could not verify my bag and told me to dash anyway

Do you need to have a special pizza bag? I have like 5 of the flimsy ones that they give out for free

Why the hell do we have to buy something that doordash needs to provide us.

I think if you sign up for it they should send you a bag

I’ve been receiving pizza orders for a while and never signed up to do pizza orders specifically. DoorDash had sent me a pizza bag for free a long time ago.

A lot of people are saying they got free pizza bags. I can’t relate. I haven’t been given any free pizza bags in all the time’s I’ve delivered pizza 😂

I never got one until I did a pizza hut order. They give those bags out like candy on halloween

I signed up for the pizza program at least 6 weeks ago and I can't see any big difference in the amount of pizza orders I get.
