You can get an elytra without killing the dragon. It's just really difficult.

It would have been smart if they first went to the stronghold and said “Can I make my base in the stronghold” and then if that worked, they go to the end, and when they got the achievement for the end, said “sorry tp me back” then went back to the stronghold without getting achievements.

this is a really old video but iirc at some point in the smp they do visit a stronghold, so they could probably use the excuse "oh no, just roleplaying that scene" or whatever and use that as an opportunity to gear up and whatnot

Friendly reminder that Drista literally threw a piece of BEDROCK onto the ground once in the smp. Not sure if it's still around, just throwing it out there.

@@montydoesgames "I wanted to use the finished portal as a floor decoration and I forgot to shift on the edge of the blocks while making the floor pattern" -how I legit accidentally went to the end while trying to make a cool star fountain in my new base. (and then I forgot the portal was there because it doesn't render from underneath while I was doing the ceiling of the room under the portal and went through it AGAIN)

I find it ironic that this video comes up in my recommended about a week after I beat the end in a minehut server that the exact same rule as the dream smp

my friend once stumbled upon this server called “dreamsmpfansmp”

the server one of my friends set up and they specifically said "Don't kill the ender dragon" I wanted to get shulker boxes but because of us not being able to beat the ender dragon i couldn't reliably get back. So what i did was get a ton of blocks and build out to the end islands. and found an end city but didn't bother looking for an elytra. All i did was bring an ender chest, kill shulkers and die to get back to the overworld

it’s kinda sad and funny how many actual dream smp replica role play servers there are where dream smp stans actually pretend they’re dream and techno and role play it’s sad
