I invented the best ASMR trigger words

Ойын-сауық

Whispering and Repeating the same words, like stipple, for example, is fairly common in the ASMR world. But it is also quite boring to do. No novelty, no surprise, no fun. When I learn a foreign language, I often notice different sounds and patterns and I often think that by mixing sounds, I could maybe make some very tingly words. I tried. I hope this will help you sleep, sure! For today, here is the list:
- ploskiv
- quivsle
- skeptivo
- klustroq
- stivlade
- quasiflo
- klandest
- splikwaz
- quivrant
One of these words might exist in your language but that would be the result of a coincidence. I'm just hoping that none of these words is a bad one in your language, haha!

the phonological patterns of which words are tingly are so interesting. it seems plosives in general work really well, especially when combined with a fricative (as in the classic [sk]) as well as /l/ in the syllable onset (as in 'sleep')

Hi! Future speech pathologist here! So fun fact about certain speech sounds, certain classes of vowels and consonants actually have very specific frequency patterns! When you look on a spectrogram, there's something called formant frequencies. Long story short, they're specific patterns of frequencies layered over one another, all based on the sound physics involved in the physical production of those sounds! Super cool, right??

  • @endwalkr

@@user-nj8oz1jg8d yeah from the work ive done with transcriptions of speech its so interesting how sometimes you dont even need to listen to the recording to be able to know what sound the speaker made, you just look at the spectogram and can easily see if its a plosive, fricative, vowel etc

hello again, to pierre and everyone reading! i'm back once again for my *9th Life Log,* and to be honest today was nothing special. i wouldn't be making this life log now if i didn't have SOMETHING to share with you all though, and i've managed to get more progress on the game and have learned a bit more about my current skills and where i'm at, so i thought i'd share it for tonight. to recap for anyone unfamiliar, i am learning Godot, a programming software, in order to try making a little RPG for fun. i've managed to make a basic player character, i've completely finished the essentials for the dialogue system, and i've learnt how to use the tilemapping tools in Godot so far. while i was working on it today though, i ended up running into a bit of a wall that drained me of my creativity for a bit, and it's a pretty simple one... i don't know how to _sprite_ a tilemap. i'd like to sprite all the stuff in this game by myself since i know i'm more than capable enough to do it, but i've really never made a tilemap before, and after banging my head against a wall and watching a few tutorials, i'm still not that happy with what i've tried to make, as much as i don't want to admit it. but it was a decent learning experience for me, because as much as i want to just get a tilemap out of the way for my game now, i have a lot of other stuff i could be focusing on, like working more on the story, working on things like an inventory and battle system... *i have more that i can do than just this one thing, and i think that's something important to realize.* maybe that sort of advice might be helpful for you too; i tend to tunnel vision on one thing often, so i have to pull myself back sometimes and just take a moment to think over my situation or what i'm doing, haha! but as drained as i ended up feeling near the end of the day, just taking a moment to realize that brought back a lot of the energy i had lost and i feel reinvigorated to go back in tomorrow to work more on it. and you know what they say, -all toasters toast toast- variety is the spice of life! i can't just keep working on the same aspect of one thing forever. as long as i take some time to focus a little bit on each aspect, i'll have the energy to keep on going when i really need to hunker down and hyper-focus on a specific aspect of my game that might be difficult to do. that's all from me for tonight. sorry for no real life-logging tonight, but i guess a bit of life advice doesn't hurt every now and then. i needed it myself to be honest, lol. have a good day/evening/night! :3
