I invented NEW MUSIC GENRES to make these song ideas

Ойын-сауық

HI !
I sometimes just get some weird ideas that I think are good (I'm delusional), and this was one of them. I spent wayyyy too long on this cause I kept procrastinating on finshing this but I think the result was worth it :)
Anwyays, hope you enjoyed the video and maybe learned something from it ! Leave any feedback for me in the comments cause I wanna improve for future videos !
As always, thanks for watching ! ^_^

This video is so impressive and it inspires me a lot. But the first one feels like future garage with lofi sound effects rather than lofi + dubstep, and the second one, the flavor of breakcore is buried in Dubstep, nevertheless it's very creative to combine like that.

Sorry if this comes off as me being negative but what exactly is your goal with this video? Just to preview some beats you made? Because I dont feel like I managed to gain a lot from the explaining part because it went so fast and you brushed over everything in an instant. Cool vid none the less but would have loved if you slowed the xqc pace down a bit and went a little more in depth with explaining!

  • @lolitskiru

Oh shoot thanks for letting me know! Yeah the goal was just to try something a bit more broad in terms of target audience, which is why I didn’t go too in depth since most people wouldn’t get it. I still wanna make it informative to some extent for producers though, so I will keep that in mind moving forward. This was my first attempt after all so I’m still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t, but thanks for letting me know :)

Agreed with this, would’ve been nicer to have you break down what each genre means to you a little bit better before jumping straight into technical jargon. I think defining the genres and the sounds you were looking to create was a great choice. but I also feel like defining a genre with what are ostensibly just one or two core elements without stating what makes those sounds that genre was a point that could’ve been done better (amen break + busy = breakcore is SUCH a gloss over, same with one breakdown from a Suisei song (that isn’t even metal) becoming the metric that you define metalstep by just feels misguided) Editing is stellar, there’s a level of humor, and the courage to talk to an audience online about a personal creation, even without a lot of confidence, is phenomenal. Super excited to see what else you put out!!!

@Secret62011 wow thank you so much for this extensive piece of feedback! You bring up very important points, can’t believe I neglected them in the first place. I will definitely try to be more intentional with what I put in my videos in the future and be more specific when setting up the context. Tysm!
