I Ignored my Check Engine Light for 1 Year | O2 Sensors 4.7 Toyota

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

For over a year, I’ve had a Check Engine Light on for the same O2 Sensor. Today I address that issue by replacing the O2 Sensor and talking about why you should probably do the same. See links below for the O2 Sensors and Wrench:

Hey Tyler as a fellow creator and someone who does diy videos I suggest you get yourself a code reader also more lighting would help haha. They are cheap and allow you to scan for codes and check readiness monitors. If you want to improve your gas mileage on any engine replacing the upstream o2 sensor will net you the biggest gain. So replacing them maybe every 100k miles should be a maintenance item. The downstream o2 sensors check for catalytic converter efficiency. And just so everyone is aware p0420/p0430 does not automatically mean you need a cat. There are a lot of nuances with check engine lights and reading the parameters behind why they set can help diagnose them properly. Having a check engine light on means your engine will use a base timing and fuel injection parameter that will keep the engine running but your pcm will not correct for such things as engine temp, atmospheric pressure, air temperature, or even worn parts. Anyway good video keep it up! 💪 look forward to more.

I have an 05 tundra, currently have the code p2445 stuck off in bank 1, its the secondary fuel injection pump, would you have any idea on the steps I should take for fixing it?

@@mchael you mean secondary air injection pump b1. I’m not familiar with the tundra. But if there are two pumps one for each bank you can try swapping them and see if the code goes away. Also check fuses that power the pump or check for voltage going to the pump. Hope that helps.

Have you had any issues with your cv axle inner/outer boots showing cracks/wear or issues due to the small lift/ level you have? I have pretty much the same setup aside from tires, 285s, but plan to go with your 235s to shed some significant weight.

fyi it takes about 100 miles for the ecu to figure out its new parameters.

@@208Tyler Your vehicle is much smarter than mine, I failed an emissions test at 70 miles but did nothing other than make a 25-mile trip and passed with flying specs.

If the frame is good and maintenance has been kept up on, then go for it. Mine was single owner, rust free, well maintained, straight body, spotless interior, and went for 8k at 194k miles.
