@@stonedgoddess420 This is why I like ROM hacks...so we can actually catch them all without the need of friends c':... Since they tend to put all the Pokémon from Gen 1 all the way to current Gen available one way or another within that game which is the best I can ask for any Pokémon game honestly. And all those that require "exchange" to evolve have NPC trainers scattered around the map with transfers available for each specific Pokémon so if you want to complete the Pokedex you can actually do so...just *chefs kiss*

Fire Red and Leaf Green are the absolute GOAT’s of all Pokémon games.

Technically, it is possible in the old games if you are extremely lucky, but at that point, you would have probably won the the lottery at least 20 times.

Original gold and silver games I think the first encounter with the legendary for each respective game were shiny. Same as the starter you choose. But it was only the first play through on the cartridge. If you soft reset or hard reset you wouldn’t get them. My odd egg or whatever it was ended up being a shiny as well. i even had at least one shiny legendary dog. I had no idea what the stars meant when I was a kid. I didn’t know until a few years ago.. I sold that sucker when I was like 11. For reference I’m 31

My leaf green game had the full Pokédex completed and yes the national, had Mewtwo, articuno, moltres, and 2 zapdos

I beat the league with all of them at lvl 50, its pretty ez, all you need is like 15 revives and max potion and use the right type of pokemon against each trainer... it was even enough to beat the oppent-blue or whatever you called him.

IVs are basically secret stats that get added to a Pokémon's stats, they max out at 31, and say if there's a level 100 Pikachu with no Attack IVs, and one with 15 IVs, the Pikachu with 15 IVs will have an attack stat 15 higher than the no IV Pikachu.
