Em it's probably not going to be perfect in every single aspect, just try and see how good it is that at 26 you're moving houses for life, and all you have accomplished by yourself, it's a lot from where i'm standing and it's inspiring for a 29 yo to witness in such a different stage in life :) very happy for you! and about the builders, they will eventually move out, just try and be assertive as much as possible, you got this !

I think you’ll be relieved once you get in your home. 😊 Yes, the builders will still be working, but it’s temporary. And you’ve waited so long for this! Can’t wait for you to get settled. And YAY for Mom’s help!

I agree all I had in my house was an airbed for 6 months when I first moved into my own place ! Makes you appreciate the bare mimimim more and appreciate the luxury’s, you’ve never seen someone get so excited over basic kitchen necessities than what I was 😂

I had a bed but no mattress so had to use the futon cushion for weeks until I could afford a mattress and then I just had a futon as a sofa for months until I could afford a second hand sofa!! I didn’t care though I was just so excited to have my own space that I would have slept in a sleeping bag on the floor lol!

You did the right thing Emily they should have been done before now, and the builder can figure it out no need to keep pushing it further away. Just keep an eye on them and pushing they to get it done.

That M&S shop is my dream. I would so love to do that! I think they have some of the best food! I can’t wait to do my first food shop for my house!

I love your parents. They are hilarious!

1) your builder is taking you for a ride and just wants more money. It should not have taken almost a year extra AND they’ve had the snagging list for a while. I firmly believe it should have been done way before now but we also don’t know what the issues have been or the discussions being had 2) when I first moved out, I had a mattress on the floor, a fridge and that was it. My roommate at the time had two camping chairs, her bed and coffee table. My place was also filthy and I had to deep deep clean it myself because I didn’t have the money to pay someone. It was over 6 months before we had anything else other than my mattress on the floor, fridge, roommates camping chairs and coffee table. You’ll be fine not being able to use one room 😅

Def move in anyway! Obviously we don't know the whole story but it sounds like the builder is not fully doing his job. I've worked a ton of residential construction and this many push backs is very uncommon

Moving is messy by itself. You will have lots of cleaning. Don’t wait and move.

Personally i think you should just move in.. your life can't keep being put on hold and as long as you have a working bed bathroom and kitchen there the main things. Hopefully things might move quicker if your living there too?? You need to try the golden blond chocolate spread from m and s that melted with strawberries is an elite combo! ❤ xx

If you have to choose between coke zero and diet coke which one you will always choose

Maybe it will be good that you are moving on Friday, maybe the builders will understand than that the can´t keep postponing... sometimes people (especially woman) need to stand tall and keep their feet on the ground because otherwise people assume that they can keep being "lazy" because "she's keeps being fine with postponing the date"... Not saying that this is the case here but I've experienced it way to many times that people just keep walking over me because they think that they can because "she's fine with it, she's cute and tiny so she doesn't have a lot to say anyway" (don't know what that logic is though)
