This is a great concept! It would be cool to do a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (especially depending on season and since he drinks a ton of different beverages in vlogs) so that people could pick and choose pairings to mimic.

For your bookshelf problem: the Billy book cases can be extended by another shelf on top, you seem to have high ceilings so that might be an option if you run into space problems again.

I was one of(?) the people who said the Midnight Library really helped them through the grieving process: I definitely agree with your thoughts on the characters and spoon-feedy feelings it sometimes delivers, as it isn't the best book I've ever read or a literary masterpiece, but as a story it's definitely an important one and I'm glad you enjoyed it. When you're in the midst of a major upset in your life/a tremendous amount of grief, it often feels easier to swim down than keep fighting upward. Following a character who is exploring the alternate routes of her life and *spoiler* finding that things only improve through your own definition of happiness/that life has endless potential, really helped at some of the darkest times. Anyways, I love your reviews and I appreciate you doing what you do. It brings a lot of people joy. 💛

Watching you read Bunny is my favorite content of the year. What an absolutely WILD book!

I absolutely *hated* the Midnight Library with a passion. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed by a book before 🤕 On the other hand, I thought I'd hate Bunny (I didn't even bother to buy a copy), but I freaking *loved* it! Book taste is weird lol Thanks for the extra long video ♡

Absolutely agree on the Midnight Library. It had a great premise, but the book itself read like something written by a 13 year old who's had one course of psychology and tried to write something "deep", but of course it ends up being the most shallow, predictable, pretentious, and preachy story imaginable. However, the poor writing in Midnight Library should give hope to all amateur writers out there.

Okay but I read Bunny like a month and a half ago and how you were trying to describe your thoughts has LITERALLY been me 😂 what a wild, wild book. But amazing.

I loved the midnight library but I feel like you’ve got to be in a certain mood for it. When I read it I was really struggling with regrets and I went into the book blind. Lo and behold the book is completely about regrets lol so it was perfect for me then

Haha this series kind of cracks me up. I kind of hope someday you find one of their books you hate just for the chaos 😂

I’m so happy you enjoyed Bunny! It’s my favourite book of all time, I’ve read it three times and at this point it’s like a tradition for me to read it around easter time. I love Mona Awad so much but Bunny is my favourite from here by far. My favourite character is probably Jonah, I didn’t really paid attention to him the first time but now he’s like my fave now. I like your theory about Bunnies being one person because it kind of makes sense, they aren’t really distinguishable from one another compared to Jonah, Ava or even Ursula. One of the things I love about this story is that there’s so many theories and possible explainations that you can really have so many iterpretations of it. For me, I really loved how Mona portrayed loneliness and outsiderness, and the dynamics between outsiders and „cool kids” were immaculate. Also she has the best writing style ever so. Okay I’ll shut up now. I love this book

So glad this is someone elses favourite book i am also reading it regular for tradition!! Currently trying to get the US hardback i feel like the cover fits the vibes and characters better than the UK version i have. Ive personally not looked up any theories or anything i dont want to read the book next time and only see that opinion i love everytime i read it I come up with a new theory of my own. For me its between Ava and Jonah as favs.

Omg I'm so excited to know you'll be doing a reading all 51 original Fear Street books vlog next year! Your book shelves look amazing, very cosy and comfy space 🥰! I much prefer a slow-burn over an instaromance too. Loving seeing Ash and Tobu! I loved The Midnight Library (but multiverse things and also time travel and stuff like that, I love that haha). I have Circe on my general TBR. I do know some things about Greek mythology so I look forward to see how I'll get on with it when I read it!

(as the title implies T_T) But it's incredibly wholesome and lovely. And every chapter made me feel warm and comforted but it was also funny.

It is quite interesting to hear your take with It Happened One Summer. Most other book tubers I've watched don't care for this book as a whole. Now I'm wanting to borrow it from my library to see if I'd like it or not.

Always love these videos! Based on what you liked about Circe, I would HIGHLY recommend The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec. Similarly, I think the author does a great job of making things easy to follow whether you have knowledge of Norse Mythology or not. I will say the plot is similar in terms of not be super heavy, but still a very intriguing story line. The character is also made very relatable and you really sympathize with her story. The story is quite different, of course, but a lot of similar vibes and it's really fantastic.

✨ Video Idea ✨ “Friendly Extremes” Read one of the best and one of the worst books from each friend. Then like a play on words, it helps you find your bookish best friend (jokingly ofc). As in bffs if you hate the same ones they hate, and love the same ones they love.

Kya~ I'm excited because I have read 3 of the 4. I read It Happened One Summer because of Chandler too. I liked it and feel the same as you about it. When I first read The Midnight Library I read it so fast and enjoyed it but the further I got from it the less I like it. I liked the idea of the library because it reminded me of a short story I read as a kid that was waaaaay less heavy handed (I wish I could remember the name of it, It involved a garden where you chose the future/flower you want but they all have a "price") I feel like I was manipulated and it leaves an icky feeling now. I can appreciate the writing skill behind that manipulation but meh. Circe is so beautifully written and I'm a freaking sucker for all mythology but I loved, nay *adore* Song of Achilles so much more. I better read Bunny now! Thank you Gavin for the video

I loved Circe. I have always felt a bit undereducated about Greek mythology, and reading about it in this format really brings it to life. If you want a fun way to learn more about it I would recommend the audiobook of Stephen Fry’s Mythos. He reads it in his inimitable style, and it’s like the gossip mag version of Greek mythology. Really good.

Never forget the Magnum Opus that was the Animorphs Video.

I can't believe how big the cats are getting! I had a feeling you'd like It Happened One Summer. I'd be curious to see what you think about the sequel though!
