Everyone: PLEASE wrap up blind cords tightly. I am a cat sitter. Last week I came into a house where my kitty client was hanging by her back leg. She had been there for a long time....blood was all over the wall from her scratching at it,trying to get free. She is ok...they think she will keep the leg....but the terror and pain she went through was horrendous. The cord easily could have wrapped around the neck instead. It can happen so easily as cats will turn and twist to get away from the cord, all the whole wrapping a limb or the neck even tighter. The vet at the ER said it is a common emergency. Just an FYI to cat people...(and dog people too, as it happens to dogs...and toddlers.....too)😢

I would assume the control cords. I can see cats would slap at any hanging cord. I find it hard to believe it to be a common injury.

@@leoncarlson4537 To be fair, “common injury” to an emergency veterinarian isn’t exactly the same as “common injury” to a layperson, or even a non-emergency veterinarian.

It's actually a hunting strategy to get closer to the birds. If a bird hears chatter it wil respond and stay where it is longer.

Most cats have this do this I have had about 10 in my life time .my cats all lived over the age of 20. I am now 79 .

Cats have very good hearing, three times more than humans, so the bell is animal cruelty.
