IIRC Andy from Mediocre Hobbies has said that apparently some catastrophic accident befell the master sculpt or mould after only a few landships had been cast, and as the original sculptor had already left GW at that point there was not much impetus to fix it. 😞

That thing would look SICK being crewed by my Skaven pirates...

Regarding the lack of "Total Warhammer" name, iirc from an interview with Creative Assembly by Chris Bratt (People Make Games), the lawyers for the publisher said no due to copyright reasons. Everyone else wanted to do it

Oh yes, would love for that to come as a set in plastic for The Old World (but then I guess they would need to release the old Empire range) or for Age og Sigmar where it could fit right in to the existng Cities of Sigmar army.

i actually based the design of the kromlech 'orc corsairs battle rig' off of the land ship

I saw that thing and immediately plans for a very special chaos knight popped in my head.

There's a rumour that the mould was destroyed, so it would have to be remade.

Even if true, that's trivially easy for them to do as long as they have, or can find, a casting of all the parts.

@@jaanikaapa6925 Worthwhile, I reckon. Tenner's worth of materials and a day of somebody's time to make a new mould. Probably sell them at £300 a pop, cause Gee Dubs will be Gee Dubs. Just sell 100 or so of them and they've paid the mould maker's salary for a year.

Bring back official rules for EVERY model/miniature and their options they have produced and printed before. I have so many Krieg, IG and Tyranid miniatures that no longer have rules support. 😢

But seriously though. They seem to be throwing darts at an abacus to pick unit stats anyway, why not sit a group of game devs down for an afternoon, whip up profiles for legends units, stick it in a pdf. Few hours of wages cost, potentially thousands of pounds in models sales from people happy that x old sculpt isnt going to be unusable next patch.

Now you know Gw doesn't have the manufacturing capacity to make that. They would only sell 500 for 2000 dollars each. Its a shame they don't build a factory in America and Australia so they could make more models and at a cheaper price point.
