It's unlikely as long as the vents remain clear. This type of volcano is less likely to blow it's top as the lava is more runny, so it can ooze out the vents and the trapped gasses can escape. Thicker more sticky lava leads to pressure build up as the vent is blocked and the pressure cannot release, like at Mt St Helens or Krakatoa.

Volcanoes with runny lava don't blow up like st Helens because viscosity is different, gasses don't become trapped in the same way. This isnt debatable, it's scientific fact. You may be right in that the intensity of the eruption increases but it will not blow up unless magma type inexplicably changes which is extremely unlikely.

Hello my friend! This is exactly the noise that we had a few days before you arrived for the first time. You remember - I told you about it when we met in Tacande the other night with the visitor from England. I think now you know why even in Los Llanos the people left their houses in the middle of the night when it occured.

I noticed the lava is now mixing with ash. Mary Greely said the chamber was emptied and is filling back up with magma from the mantle. That is probably why it is so loud....The EQ are normal high 2s and mid 3s. No 4s. She said there may be a bottleneck or fissure and is causing more gasses and ash.
