I Have Finally Found the *Perfect* Ink Pad Storage System!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I have finally found the perfect ink pad storage system for me! My studio is in an attic with a sloped ceiling. So I can't have any hanging shelves. Instead, I put everything into drawers. For many years I've kept my ink pads in a combination of shoe boxes. It's a totally fine, totally free (upcycled boxes) storage system. But during #CarveDecember this year I was increasingly frustrated by having to rummage through the boxes for what I wanted and things not quite fitting into the drawer. So, half way through December I decided to investigate ink pad storage. And that's when I found it: the Stephanie Buddy Bag! amzn.to/3fqboCF
I'm so glad to have finally found a system that works for me. But, as I've said in the past: the key to organizing your art stash is knowing how your brain works and how your space operates. So I'd love to know! What system do you use?

Haven't seen anyone mention it - but the "hole" is to pull out the box from the bag. You just need to insert the little boxes so that the hole is facing the opening and then the velcro will even close better! Love your labeling idea!

Came upon this video accidentally. Haven’t “seen" you since you had a TV show. Will definitely check out your KZread channel. Per Stampin’ Up, it’s best to store your ink pads ink side down, so the ink stays at the top of its pad. The color labels are perfect!

Totally Tiffany and Crafter's Companion have joined forces. Don't know that Tiffany was bought out as she still has her US site but CC now carries her products and have collaborated to create some items.

Yes, TT bags are awesome! See thru but contained and secure. Flexible but 1000x more than a zippered plastic bag. Able to label them, switch out what you use it for, lightweight but strong so helpful when using on the go or need to store an empty one they take up less room than hard sided containers with easy-to-lose tops. (But unlikely you won't find another use for it so won't be empty long). I love free and repurposed recycled containers to the max however sometimes I gotta buy & use to be able to access and enjoy my supplies & crafting!! Yeah Julie! - K, a dedicated TT tribe member

I am going to check these out love that I could take a bag and go! I use dollar store containers they are long and say it is for artists brushes but they are fantastic for the distress inks. I have a video on my channel by same name if you want to see them. I love that you can stand them up or they fit great in a drawer and can go in tight enough that the kids don’t come off. Ps they are also great for alcohol inks or reinkers

Hi! Great tip for inking the color sample on the side of the ink pad! Just a very important FYI, when you put the plastics boxes together the little hole goes up so that you can pull out each box like a drawer from the storage case . Then the Velcro will go all the way across and fit perfect : )

When I only had a few inkpads, I was using an old cassette-tape storage case insert, with a piece of cardboard taped into each slot to make the bases bigger. When I ran out of room, I sprang for the proprietary Stampin' Up! inkpad storage cubes, since I use their inkpads exclusively now. I use a plastic 4x6 file box from Walmart for my re-inkers. I still use the soft zippered cassette storage case to carry my inkpads to group crafting sessions, though.

I don’t have too many full sized ink pads, so i store them all in a recycled tissue box in my drawer. The width of the tissue box fits the full sized ink pads that i have so that’s nice. They’re stored stacked though, which can be hassle when I’m looking for something in the middle of a project. Love your find and thanks for sharing!

It looks like Michaels has started carrying some Totally Tiffany products, also. I saw them on their website and purchased a few sets of pocket dividers that I use to keep some of my ephemera organized, and they really do work well for various sizes. The pockets hold more paper than I thought they would judging by the product photos. I think I saw these ink pad holders on the website, too.

I use a storage system made of MDF that I had to put together. (Actually my 12 year old grandson did it). I was excited to get it for my Distress Oxides as they are what I use mostly, but I found it was too deep for them and they would get lost. Solution? Buy some cheap erasers and pop them into the openings! Fixed.
