Happy Birthday, I hope your dinner was fabulous. My birthday is this Tuesday, well kind of. I was born on Leap Year, the 29th, but it’s not Leap Year this year so I celebrate it on the 28th. Next year 2024 is a Leap Year Yeah. This is a fantastic idea and such a cheap way to organize your Distress Inks. I’m all about cheap DIY’s. That tool you used is awesome. It looks like a mini skill saw.

I've done the same thing, but with paper towel tubes cut in half down the long side. I just partially flattened and taped the halves down in my drawer. Super cheap.

Happy, happy birthday, Missy!!! 🎉 🎂🥳🎊🎈 I use mostly Stampin’ Up inks, which are supposed to be stored flat. I currently keep my inks in a deep plastic case that I store on its side, so the stacked inks lie flat. Basically, it’s like your stacking but then having your drawer in a vertical instead of horizontal position. My container isn’t deep enough, so I store the inks sideways instead of having the labels facing outward. Also, there are a few inks stacked on one “shelf”, and they slide a little. It’s not great, but I haven’t found anything better to keep my inks cat and dust free for a cheap price. Hope you can picture what I tried to explain. 🤞 Thanks for sharing your tips and your fur babies! Hugs to you and them 😍😻😻

I think your drawer looks nicely organized, but I always store my Ink pads upside down so that the ink remains at the surface of the pad. I have seen pads in stores that leak because the pad is not flat. Do you have problems like that?

I've always been scared to store my ink pads vertically.... but I guess it works just fine? The ink doesn't pool at the bottom?

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes Kari. I bought the drawer units from Wayfair online. They are the Rebrilliant 6 Drawer Rolling Storage Chest. They come in two different sizes. I have them with these regular size drawers and some that are a wider drawer. They have held up wonderfully in my craft room. Hope this helps. Hugs, Missy 🤗🤗❤️❤️
