Awesome man, congrats! I love your point about having to learn the game of hockey as a fan in the midst of covering it and creating content for it. It's so true. In order to create content we have to learn all the skills necessary to do so, as well as learning everything about what we are creating content for. Looking forward to seeing your hockey stuff!

How do you get into something like shooting for the NHL or even the AHL? I do weddings now and am very interested in widening my photography skills.

Hey man, thanks for the question. I honestly am probably the worst person to ask as my path to the NHL is very skewed. I have a photographer friend who worked for the NHL social media last season, she was quitting to move out of Vegas and said hey the position is open you should apply. I applied and got it based on my skills and creativity but not solely based on any hockey experience. I photograph a handful of other sports but hockey wasn't one of them. So yeah my path just happen to be right place right time. As for you id say start somewhere local, find some people that play on a beer league and gain experience shooting hockey there.
