That's over $5,500 cake home a month. She's not being honest. Car payment must be outrageous. 800 rent, 500 school, utilities 300, phone 100, 400 car, 400 insurance, 600 food at home, 400 gas. 3,500 total right there. Still roughly 2k left. Get rid of cable an streaming serviced, stop the hidden shopping addiction, and Pau the dang cards off. Common sense to look at a mistake an then change the behavior.

Public schools in cities nowadays aren’t what they used to be. I think the caller has a spending problem, purchasing consumables instead of paying bills, and then not knowing what happened to all her money by the end of the pay period.

I created a budget to pay a round figure each month, plus any interest accrued on the balance of the previous month, as well as purchases made during it. The key was staying the course. As long as I continue to stay the course, my magic number of monthly payments to being credit card debt free is down to a maximum of 9!

It's a whole mental thing, to pay off debt. To not use cc's unless its dire. Something is on sale and too good to be true purchase and you buy it, thinking how much you have saved. BUT training the mind to think that that purchase is just going to put you that much more into debt. To imagine the numbers in your bank account going up and the numbers of your cc balances going down...every single time you want to buy something. Its really nice when you change like that, when you look at things as a financial burden rather than a must have.
