Funny thing. Michigan’s QB in the National Championship, Alex Orji, was actually a VT commit. He decommited right before signing day and signed a pledge to go to Michigan. I’d be lying if I said as a Hokie that doesn’t make it the slightest bit sweeter.

Ehhhh....No one outside of Virginia or the ACC was worried about those teams.

@@USR__ Ehhh.. ACC wise, yes they was. Nationally they was a team to watch out for. 2007- 09 VT won a good amount of Coastal and ACC Championship. Ranked in the top 10 to 15 and playing in a few Orange Bowls. Wasn't until LTs second season as QB VT started falling off.

The Hokies haven’t been relevant since 2016, not since Michael Vick. Up until 2013 VT was top 10-15 every year and was voted by the computers for BCS to play in the rose bowl national championship against USC. Instead Vince young had one of the best moments in cfb history
