Also, against the mamoswine lead, mamo did have an avalanche. He farmed up to 7 powder snows to catch the moonblast. Avalanche costs only 6

Annihilape is so annoying. Everyone just 2 shields it. And by doing so it even beats most of its counters besides charmers. Its ridiculous

I agree with your sentiment Dan, that there should be a fairy answer on the lead, which is why I ran this exact same team except I had gengar, a poison, on the lead and I just had Goodra instead of D-nite. However, early in the video you were suggesting that this player should swap in their hard counter of Annihilape over dragonite and I disagree. There were definitely times where they started in a bad matchup like the Excadrill and probably should have played it out first and tried to catch a drill run on their dragonite but they need to bait out a fairy so they have to play it ABB and swapping in their hard answer to the lead is never the answer because if the opponent team builds properly they obviously have an answer to Annihilape. That's why I used Goodra because it can at least hit fairies neutrally or supereffectively with its charged moves but Dnite can also learn Hurricane which is a good coverage move if you're gonna use it on the safe swap

I don’t mind Annihilape in MLP, it’s way more balanced IMO. Also it’s nice to have an option that’s (relatively) easy to grind for - Mankeys have been everywhere since Rediscover Kanto. … may also by somewhat biased 😅

This thing might be more rampant than Medicham ever was. 3/5 games per set I run into one for GL
