One cool thing about being an introvert is, when you find another introverted person, it’s like the coolest thing ever. You guys both think of and come up with some of the most coolest and deepest conversations known to man. And the best part is, once you two are done talking, you can relax and chill or just go on about your day. It’s almost like being an extrovert, since you two are very like minded you almost give each other energy to keep talking. And when you’re both tired y’all can end the conversation without it being awkward.

I don't think that's entirely true. People in my life know I'm a true introvert and try and set me up as friends with introverts in their circle. I often find I get the vibes with them that, yeah we could talk and be friends, but why? I'm just as comfortable not knowing this person as I am trying to get to know them. The thing is though, not doing something is easier than doing something. So if I am neutral towards an action then why not just take the easiest action?

Like fr how many times you minding your own business stocking shelves and then someone asks where the soap at and then starts talking about the weather like bro. Most people think that we’re also terrible conversationalists. But we aren’t, we just listen more than we speak. Always present in the conversation but just observing, taking in data, reading body language. Like a computer running a constant scan. A true introvert will let you talk, and at the end of the day they will know more about you then you will EVER know about them. We also hate meaningless small talk. I enjoy having conversations about Deep topics and mysteries, 3AM nights wondering about the nature of the Universe, not “crazy weather we’re having huh?”

I was at Publix the other day tryna get some chicken and this old lady starts tellin me a story about how they used to sell chicken in packs of two . As an introvert, I relate specifically to the “talk to yourself” part, as I talk to myself a lot. It’s also really weird when I dream and stuff and I constantly remind myself that “hey you aren’t (insert character), you are just my brain assuming what (said character) would say in this situation” instead of getting immersed in my daydreaming and enjoying it.

I thought I was an ambivert until I went to parent-teacher conferences last year and I was just sitting there in one of the classrooms getting called out by the teacher who was like "oh yeah, they're an introvert, big time" and my parents were like "yep" and that's when I realized it. No, shy extroverts exist. Being an extrovert means human interaction fuels you to keep going and you crave it, while for introverts, human interaction drains you. You can absolutely love talking to people and love being around them but be self conscious and anxious af lol
