Used to play euphonium, I still remember the time from my college marching days when the ex-flute player told the baritone section to get over carrying a heavy instrument over the intercom.

As someone who was part of both low (tuba) and high (trumpet) brass, the statement is 100% true. Low brass is the best section.

One time we had practice in 100 degree weather and I got heat exhaustion. We did a run through of our show near the end of practice and I could barely see as I was half conscious pretty much and was going through the motions so I was off and everyone else was too.
